Himachal Pradesh University prescribes the HPU MAT eligibility criteria. Candidates willing to apply for the MBA programme of HPU Business School must fulfill the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Candidates failing to meet the prescribed eligibility criteria of HPU MAT, the candidature will stand cancelled. As per the basic eligibility criteria, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised/statutory university. The eligibility criteria will mention the required educational qualifications, age limit, nationality and much more. Aspirants are advised to go through the detailed HPU MAT eligibility criteria before applying for HPU MAT 2022 exam. 

Detailed HPU MAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates who have decided to appear for the MBA entrance exam of Himachal Pradesh University must go through the detailed eligibility criteria of HPU MAT. Check the parameters to apply for the HPU MAT exam below: 

Educational Qualifications 

• The candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a university established by the law of India. 
• Candidates belonging to the general category must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in graduation. 
• Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.  
• Candidates who are appearing for the final examination of Bachelor's degree in March/April 2022 will be allowed to appear for the HP University Management Aptitude Test.* 

*Final selection will be based on the prescribed eligibility condition only. Admission to such candidates will be granted on a provisional basis.  

Age Limit 

• Candidates belonging to a non-subsidised category, serving or retired defence personnel will have no age limit to apply for HPU MAT.  
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST category or general category must check the age limit.  
• Provided that the Vice-Chancellor shall have the power to permit age relaxation for a reason to be recorded in writing up to a maximum of six months.

Nationality 

There is no prescribed nationality to apply for HPU MAT. Foreign students can also apply for the HPU MAT on fulfilling the eligibility criteria.  

Why is it Important to Check Eligibility Criteria? 

Candidates willing to apply for the MBA admission process of HP University must fulfil the eligibility criteria. Any candidate failing to fulfil the eligibility criteria, candidature will stand cancelled and will not be able to appear for the complete HPU MAT selection process.

Who is not Eligible to Apply for HPU MAT? 

Check the list below to know the candidates who will not be eligible to apply for HPU MAT 2022: 

• If the candidate has not secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in graduation (45% in case of SC/ST candidates) 
• Candidates who do not have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional degree 
• Candidates who are not in the final year of the graduation degree 
• Candidates having bachelor’s degrees from a university not established by the law of India.
