IIM Trichy reveals CAT 2016 cut off
Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (also known as IIM Trichy) has announced its admission policy for Post Graduate Programme (PGP) batch of 2017-1019. IIM T will use CAT 2016 percentile for shortlisting the candidates for WAT and PI.
This year, CAT has been scheduled for December 4, 2016 and IIM T has assigned 50% weightage to the same. Written Ability Test and Personal Interview each hold 15% weightage. This year, the institute has planned to have the batch size of 180 students for PGP 2017-19.
IIM Tiruchirappalli’s 2017-19 admission process will be based on a candidate’s performance in CAT 2016, Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI); educational record and relevant work experience (if any). Here’s IIM Trichy’s shortlisting criteria for PI & WAT:

This year, IIM Rohtak is coordinating the PI & WAT for PGP 2017-19 batch on behalf of IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Tiruchirappalli, IIM Udaipur, IIM Kashipur, IIM Amritsar, IIM Bodhgaya & IIM Sambalpur (also known as 9 new IIMs). The WAT & PI will be conducted at New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata. Shortlisted candidates will be notified about their selection for WAT & PI by IIM Rohtak.
Furthermore, in cases where a candidate has been shortlisted by older IIMs (Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, and Lucknow) as well as 9 new IIMs, the candidate will not have to appear for the common PI & WAT of 9 IIMs.
