TISS lays its emphasis more on a better understanding of the exam pattern and its coverage. Thus, students need to focus on performing the best of all the sections to reach the estimate weightage.

  • Exam Pattern and Type of questions asked/Difficulty level

Tata Institute of Social Sciences conducts its exam across 39 cities in India at the same time. The exam is conducted through the online mode being present in the centre allotted to the student. Moreover, the exam consists of 100 questions for 100 marks with 100 minutes time duration. This exam grants no negative marking for any wrong attempts. The questions in the following paper include 30, 30 and 40 marks distribution for each section. Further, the questions asked in the English proficiency test and general knowledge test are based on your advanced knowledge. Thus, the paper is set with a combination of easy and hard levels.

  • Section-wise topics covered

The exam is conducted under three main sections of skills, namely, Quantitative Ability and Logical Reasoning, English Proficiency and General Knowledge. The format remains the same. Also, these sections include the possibilities of various skills assessing the abilities of a student. This includes General Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Mathematics, Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. This is how the exam is conducted with various sections to test a student’s skill based on a certain weightage of every section.

  • Marking Scheme

The marking scheme of TISSNET is not that tricky and easy for any talent to lead on. Moreover, the same is also expected out of TISSNET 2020 from the previous year’s comparison. TISS lays its emphasis more on a better understanding of the exam pattern and its coverage. Thus, students need to focus on performing the best of all the sections to reach the estimate weightage.

  • Expected Cutoff

Cutoffs for the Open classification in TISS 2019 were between 72-76 marks and for SC/STs it was 62-64 score. In 2019, the hard level of inquiries was moderate. Be that as it may, General Awareness questions were of simple, moderate and high trouble levels. Further, the expected cutoffs are reasonable as compared to any other entrance exams of the college. Thus, students get a chance to focus on easier levels and score well. Further, the students can attempt the sections carefully with Quantitative Ability and Logical Reasoning solving 23-25 questions to cover the weightage

No refund policy has been mentioned by TISS Mumbai for BSc admission cancellation. Candidates will need to ask admission desk for confirmation on this question.

Generally, candidates are offered refunds based on UGC norms where only a percentage of fees paid is refunded upon cancelling admission.
