Based on the detailed analyses of the MAT exam, aspirants can get a fair idea of what would be their expected final score and then they can start applying to the colleges accordingly.

Once the MAT exam is over on February 16, it would be a sigh of relief for all the test takers. However, it’s just a matter of time before a serious MBA aspirant pulls up their socks and start preparing themselves for the next battle ahead i.e. college shortlisting, form filling, and interview preparations.

Based on the detailed analyses of the MAT exam, aspirants can get a fair idea of what would be their expected final score and then they can start applying to the colleges accordingly. It is better to apply for multiple colleges since the pressure of performing really well for the interviews of that one college will be significantly minimised. Visit the websites of the particular colleges and watch out for their important deadlines. In case you have any specific college-related query (whose information isn’t made public), feel free to directly reach out to the college officials to avoid any last-minute chaos and decide if the college is ideal for you or not.

If you are sure enough of getting a good score in the MAT, start preparing for the GD-PI rounds of the colleges without any further delay. Brush up your conversational skills, be fully aware of everything mentioned in your resume and/or college application form, be updated about the current affairs to stay on track for the preparation.

This is applicable only for those test takers who wish to appear for the upcoming entrance exams too as a backup. Since I assume you to have already given the likes of CAT, XAT, NMAT, SNAP, IIFT, and now February MAT you will be devoid of all the exam-related pressures. This would come in handy in the upcoming exams such as CET, May MAT and/or ATMA (whichever is applicable); wherein you could score much better. Now, it is more about mock analyses and practising on your weaker areas.

As the upcoming MBA CET involves a slightly different exam-taking strategy as compared to the MAT, it is advised to start giving mock tests well in advance. Since there are still over three weeks after MAT for the CET (i.e. March 14), an ideal strategy would be to solve and analyse about eight mocks.

If you have put in the required efforts during your MAT preparations, you are bound to score well in the exam. Until the results are declared, be and think positive about the inevitable outcome. If you are destined to get a great score in an exam, you will surely get it. Even if not, you are still destined to get a great score in some other exam.
