TISSNET 2021 Analysis

TISSNET 2021 Analysis

TISSNET 2021 exam has been conducted on Saturday, February 20, from 2 pm to 3.40 pm. The exam pattern and structure was same as that of the previous years. The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. In terms of sections, English Proficiency and Mathematical & Logical Reasoning sections were of moderate to tough level of difficulty. The General Awareness section was easier than that of last year. There was no surprise element in the TISSNET 2021 exam. Now let us take a detailed look at the sectional analysis of TISSNET 2021.

General Awareness

Although the difficulty level of this section was easier than last year, the overall difficulty level of this section was tough. The questions distributed equally from static GK and current affairs. The topics from current affairs were books and literature, awards, national and international events. For static GK, the topics were Business and Economy, Art and Culture, History, Science, Geography, Politics, Sports, etc.

Mathematics and Logical Reasoning

In this section, 20 questions were from Quantitative Ability, four from Data Interpretation and six were from Logical Reasoning. From the QA area, Arithmetic was the dominating topic. The DI part consisted of four questions which were addition-based and also consisted of sitters. The LR part had six questions which were on Number Series (three), Directions, Clocks and Calendars. The difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.

English Proficiency

The difficulty level of the section was easy to moderate. The topics included Grammar, Vocabulary, Fill in the Blank, Parajumbles, Summary, Reading Comprehension and Verbal Reasoning. Fill in the Blank topic dominated the section. Most of the questions were easy but the RC and VR questions were of moderate difficulty level. There were two RC passages carrying five questions each. The questions were a mix of factual and inferential.

TISSNET 2021 Expected Cutoff

The expected sectional cutoff for TISSNET 2021 is 72 to 76 for the General category candidates and for the SC/ST candidates, the sectional cutoff is likely to be around 64 to 66.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai BA admission is not open for offline mode admission. This is because candidates cannot register for CUET-UG in offline mode which is mandatory for BA admission.

No refund policy has been mentioned by TISS Mumbai for BSc admission cancellation. Candidates will need to ask admission desk for confirmation on this question.

Generally, candidates are offered refunds based on UGC norms where only a percentage of fees paid is refunded upon cancelling admission.

No, students cannot apply offline for TISS Mumbai admission. he application process is conducted in online mode. For UG admission, students have to apply through relevant entrance exam portal. For PG admission, students must apply through TISS official website.
