IBSAT Exam Pattern 2025: Marking Scheme, Total Marks & Exam Duration

IBSAT syllabus is closely similar to CAT syllabus with no negative marking. Candidates preparing for CAT will be able to prepare for IBSAT easily. The IBSAT syllabus is divided into four sections viz., Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Adequacy and Data Interpretation also, CAT syllabus includes the similar sections. 

IBSAT 2025 exam is expected will be held in remote proctored home. Candidates will be able to take the test from any location with stable internet connectivity. To appear for IBSAT online proctored examination, candidates must ensure to fulfill the following technical requirements: For Laptop/Desktop 1. Processor- Dual Core, 4 threads, 2.2 GHz 2. RAM- 2 GB 3. Screen Resolution- 1024*768 4. Web Camera- 640 x 480, 15 frames per second (fps) 5. Microphone- Any Model (External or Internal) 6. Network Bandwidth- 1 Mbps continuous connectivity 7. Browser- Chrome/Edge 8. Net Framework- v4.5.2 9. Antivirus- Any make (To be disabled) 10. Mic/Cam settings- Under chrome 11. Pop up/ Ad Blocker to be disabled 12. Any Desk 13. Administrative Privileges 14. Compatibility checks- webcam and microphone For Mobile 1. OS- Android 8 or above 2. RAM- 2 GB or above 3. Must have front camera.

As per IBSAT exam pattern, the marking scheme for IBSAT is as follows:

1. One mark for each correct answer
2. No marks for wrong answers

Based on score obtained by candidates in IBSAT exam, they are shortlisted for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. 

Listed below is the IBSAT cutoff:

1. CAT & XAT: 60 percentile and above 
2. GMAT: 500+
3. NMAT by GMACTM: 150+

Yes, IBSAT exam is conducted in online mode. The exam is held in remote proctored mode. Applicants can book the exam slot after completing the IBSAT application process online. To appear for the online mode of examination, candidates must have a desktop or laptop and download the required software to appear for the exam.

IBSAT 2025 exam will be held on December 27 and December 28. Candidates can book the exam slot tentatively from October 2025.

As per IBSAT exam pattern, question paper will be divided into four sections:

• Verbal Ability: 50 questions
• Reading Comprehension: 30 questions
• Quantitative Aptitude: 30 questions
• Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation: 30 questions

To appear for the IBSAT online proctored examination, candidates must:

• Login through the link shared on the registered email address and enter unique ID and Date of Birth to access the IBSAT exam
• Complete the verification process. In the first level verify facial photo and in the second level of the verification process, candidate's will have to display their IBSAT hall ticket 2025 and valid ID proof when asked.
• Read the exam instructions carefully.
• Attempt the IBSAT exam online.

IBSAT is a computer based examination. This exam can be taken from home. It is conducted for a duration of two hours in online mode. IBSAT exam will consist of 140 multiple choice questions. The exam can be taken from home or any suitable location.
