Overview

IBSAT selection process 2025 result for MBA and PGPM program has been announced. The selection rounds were held offline at IBS Hyderabad Campus. Shortlisted candidates appeared for the IBSAT selection rounds on given date and time. List of shortlisted candidates was announced after the declaration of IBSAT results 2025. Students having a valid score in IBSAT 2025 or CAT/MAT/XAT/SNAP/NMAT/GMAT/MAH CET or any other state-level entrance examination (score valid from 2023 onwards) were eligible to appear for counselling process. IBSAT selection process 2025 consists of micro presentation and personal interview rounds. Admission to IBS 9 campuses- Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune are offered based on candidates’ overall performance.

IBSAT selection process 2025 results has been announced. Candidates can check their final results following the steps below:

Q:   How is IBSAT final merit list prepared?
A: 

IBSAT final merit list is prepared on considering the following parameters- Micro Presentation, Personal Interview and past academic records and weightage. Check below to know the criterias:

  • Micro presentation: 25%
  • Personal Interview: 25%
  • Past academic record: 50%

Only candidates who will qualify the above criterias, will be offered final admission to MBA/PGDM programme of applied IBS campuses. IBSAT 2026 selection process result will be announced tentatively in April 2027.

Q:   What is the expected cut-off of IBSAT for IBS Hyderabad and Mumbai campus?

ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad releases the IBSAT cutoff along with the declaration of results. The minimum required IBSAT cutoff scores for getting a GD/PI call scheduled at IBS Hyderabad is given below: 1. CAT & XAT 60 percentile and above 2. GMAT 500 + 3. NMAT by GMACTM 150+ The minimum cutoff score for INR 2 Lacs scholarship eligibility criteria is 1. CAT Top 75 candidates with a minimum score of 90 percentile and above 2. XAT Top 25 candidates with a minimum score of 80 percentile and above 3. GMAT TM Top 25 candidates with a minimum score of 550 and above 4. NMAT by GMAC TM Top 100 candidates with a minimum score of 225 and above. Candidates will be able to check the updates cutoff score on release of the IBSAT score. The IBSAT 2023 results are expected to be announced in last week of December 2023.

The authorities organise a session to introduce candidates to the programmes and admission process of IBS. Once the selection briefing process is over candidates had to appear for the selection rounds- Micro presentation and Personal Interview as per the prescribed schedule. IBSAT 2026 results will be announced soon after the exam is conducted. The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education will conduct IBSAT 2026 in last week of December 2026. IBSAT 2025 Selection Process

IBSAT selection process is conducted in offline mode at IBS 8 campuses and IBS Hyderabad head office. Candidates desiring to take admission to the programmes offered by IBS campuses must go through the selection rounds. The IBSAT selection process 2025 consists of the following rounds: 

  • Micro Presentation: In this round, candidate will have to present on a given topic for 3 minutes. Candidates will be given three topics from which they can choose any one topic to present on. This is done to test the communication and thinking skills. 
  • Personal Interview: Those who have successfully cleared the GD round are called for PI round. This PI round judges your communication skills, confidence, business aptitude and general attitude. Candidates should remain cool and calm during this final round. 
  • Admission: Based on the final selection result, candidates have to take admission in one of the nine IBS Business Schools as per their cutoff and final selection criteria.

Q:   When will be IBSAT selection rounds conducted?

IBSAT 2026 selection rounds will be conducted from second week of February 2027 at IBS Hyderabad. Candidates will be shortlisted for the IBSAT selection rounds based on their IBSAT, CAT, XAT, GMAT scores. 

IBSAT selection rounds will consist of two rounds- micro presentation and personal interview rounds. The final selection will be based on candidate's performance in past academics and selection rounds. Candidates must ensure to report at alloted exam centre on given date and time.

Personal interviews can be stressful more than group discussions. The purpose of the Personal Interview is to assess the candidate's personality traits. To ace the Personal Interview round candidates must note the important points: Dress well for the interview Don't answer the question with incorrect knowledge, instead reply I don't know politely. Be polite throughout the interview. Panelist creates a stressful situation to assess candidates' patience and stress management skills Candidates must minimize the opportunity cost. Try to play on strengths and drive the interview towards strength to establish confidence in yourself. Stay calm and answer the questions while taking time to give them a thought. Yes, IBSAT (ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test) can be taken more than once. IBSAT is an entrance examination conducted by ICFAI Foundation for admission to MBA and PGDM programs offered by the IBS campuses across India. IBSAT exam is conducted once in a year. Candidates can apply for IBSAT 2026 exam for which registrations will commence in first week of July.

Q:   How and when will I receive my IBSAT score card?

IBSAT 2026 scorecard will be released at general.ibsindia.org. Candidates who will appeare for the IBSAT exam, scheduled in last week of December, can check their results online. To download the IBSAT scorecard, candidates must enter their login credentials on the official website of ICFAI Business School. after loging in, screen will display the IBSAT scorecard. Candidates must note that no physical copy of the IBSAT 2026 scorecard will be issued to the candidates separately. Candidates must save and take the print of the IBSAT scorecard online only. 

Candidates who are shortlisted, must appear for the micro presentation/PI rounds on given date and time along with the required documents. Th final selection will be offered on the basis of the performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
