IBSAT 2023 selection process result has been announced at ibsindia.org. Selection rounds are conducted by ICFAI Business School for admission to IBS 8 campuses. Candidates who will have a valid score in IBSAT 2023 or CAT/MAT/XAT/SNAP/NMAT/GMAT/MAH CET or any other state-level entrance examination (score valid from 2021 onwards) were eligible to appear for the selection rounds. Authorities declared the result for the IBSAT selection process 2023 for admission to the PGPM programme of IBS Hyderabad. Admission to IBS 8 campuses—Bengaluru, Dehradun, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune will be offered on the basis of candidates’ overall performance in academics and GD/PI.  

What is IBSAT Selection Briefing?

The authorities organise a session to introduce candidates to the programmes and admission process of IBS. Once the selection briefing process is over candidates will have to appear for the selection rounds- Group Discussion and Personal Interview as per the prescribed schedule. 

IBSAT 2023 Selection Process

IBSAT selection process is conducted in offline mode at IBS 8 campuses and IBS Hyderabad head office. Candidates desiring to take admission to the programmes offered by IBS campuses must go through the selection rounds. The IBSAT selection process 2023 consists of the following rounds: 

  • Group Discussion: In this round, a group consisting of 8-10 candidates is created. Then they are given some topics or case study to discuss for 15-20 minutes. This is done to test the leadership and negotiation skills of candidates. To excel in this round, candidates should read current affairs, newspapers and business magazines regularly. 
  • Personal Interview: Those who have successfully cleared the GD round are called for PI round. This PI round judges your communications skills, confidence, business aptitude and general attitude. Candidates should remain cool and calm during this final round. 
  • Admission: Based on the final selection result, candidates have to take admission in one of the nine IBS Business Schools as per their cutoff and final selection criteria. 

Q:   When will be IBSAT selection rounds conducted?

A:

IBSAT selection process commenced soon after the declaration of results. IBSAT 2023 selection rounds were held in February 2024. Only candidates who will qualify the IBSAT 2023 or have qualified any of the national level entrance examinations- NMAT by GMAC, CAT, XAT scores are also called for the selection process during the prescribed period. The IBSAT 2023 selection process will consist of grpup discussion and personal interview. Te final selection of the candidates will be based on the past academic records and performance of the candidate in group discussion and personal interview. Candidates must report for the IBS selection process on the given date and time, failing which candidates will not be considered for admission to IBS campuses.

Group Discussion: You should be updated about current affairs, international events, issues affecting India and the world, etc. so that you can put forward your opinion and views when asked. You need to have patience and effective listening skills to respond effectively in a group discussion. Remember the interview panel consists of people from college management who are sitting down only to reject candidates and sort the final admission list quickly. So, even a slight mistake can cost you heavily. Personal Interview (PI): 1. Introduce yourself in a very brief and formal way. 2. Limit introduction to entirely yourself. DO NOT speak about parents, siblings and family, unless asked by the interviewer. 3. Give straight and simple answers to the questions asked by the interviewer. 4. Answer in small sentences. 5. To the point and precise answers are far better than beating around the bush. 6. Don’t try be aggressive, overconfident. And definitely, DO NOT try to impress the panel by using some cheesy mugged up lines. It won't work. 7. Dress formally.

The authorities declared the result for IBSAT selection rounds soon after the process is over. To check the result candidates must follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 4- Enter the login credentials:

IBS Aptitude Test also known as IBSAT is conducted for admission to MBA? PGDM programs of IBS nine campuses. Candidates having valid score in CAT/MAT/XAT/SNAP/NMAT/GMAT/MAH CET or any other state-level entrance examination are exempted from taking the IBSAT exam. ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad releases the IBSAT cutoff along with the declaration of results. The minimum required IBSAT cutoff scores for getting a GD/PI call scheduled at IBS Hyderabad is given below: 1. CAT & XAT 60 percentile and above 2. GMAT 500 + 3. NMAT by GMACTM 150+ The minimum cutoff score for INR 2 Lacs scholarship eligibility criteria is 1. CAT Top 75 candidates with a minimum score of 90 percentile and above 2. XAT Top 25 candidates with a minimum score of 80 percentile and above 3. GMAT TM Top 25 candidates with a minimum score of 550 and above 4. NMAT by GMAC TM Top 100 candidates with a minimum score of 225 and above. Candidates will be able to check the updates cutoff score on release of the IBSAT score. The IBSAT 2023 results are expected to be announced in last week of December 2023.

Yes, IBSAT (ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test) can be taken more than once. IBSAT is an entrance examination conducted by ICFAI Foundation for admission to MBA and PGDM programs offered by the IBS campuses across India. To appear for IBSAT exam more than once candidates must note the important guidelines: 1. Frequency: There is no limit on the number of attempts one can appear for IBSAT. You can take the IBSAT in consecutive years. The exam is usually conducted again in February, wherein candidates can re-appear for IBSAT. 2. Application Process: For each attempt, you need to complete the IBSAT application process and pay requisite fee. 3. Be polite throughout the interview. Panelist creates a stressful situation to assess candidates' patience and stress management skills Candidates must minimize the opportunity cost. Try to play on strengths and drive the interview towards strength to establish confidence in yourself. Stay calm and answer the questions while taking time to give them a thought. Candidates must keep themselves updated with current events. Know your strengths and weaknesses. Candidates must know themselves and the reasons to join the programme. Try to relate the qualities with the programme one wants to pursue. Give logical propositions. Back your answers with logic which will help to persuade the panelist (s). .

Q:   When will be IBSAT results announced?

A:

IBSAT 2023 results have been announced soon after the exam was conducted. ICFAI Foundation of Higher Education conducted IBSAT 2023 exam on December 23 and December 24, 2023. Candidates who appeared for the exam were able to check their IBSAT result online by entering the login credentials. Candidates were required to enter their IBSAT application number and date of birth to access the IBSAT scorecard. The IBSAT result mentions sthe candidate's details, section wise score and overall scores obtained. Candidates must check the details mentioned on the scorecard carefully. Candidates mjust take the print of the IBSAT scorecard soon after the release. No physical copy of the IBSAT scorecard will be issued seperately to the candidates.

IBSAT 2023 scorecard has been released at ibsindia.org. Candidates who appeared for the IBSAT exam, scheduled on December 23 and Dceember 24, 2023, will be able to check their results online. To download the IBSAT scorecard, candidates must enter their login credentials on the official website of ICFAI Business School. after loging in, screen will display the IBSAT scorecard. Candidates must note that no physical copy of the IBSAT 2023 scorecard will be issued to the candidates seprerately. Candidates must save and take the print of the IBSAT scorecard online only. 

Candidates who will shortlisted, must appear for the GD/PI rounds on given date and time along with the required documents. Th final selection will be offered on the basis of the performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
