IIM Raipur, SIDBI launch Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship & New Venture Creation; Apply by Aug 30

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur has announced the launch of its Advanced Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation, named “SWAVALAMBAN Skill to Enterprise Model (STEM).” This 18-month program, developed in collaboration with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), is designed to equip 30 early-stage entrepreneurs with the essential skills and knowledge needed to build and scale successful business ventures.

Program Goals and Structure
Professor Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur, highlighted the program's significance, stating, “Budding entrepreneurs are crucial for achieving India’s growth objectives by 2047. In alignment with the government’s vision, IIM Raipur is proud to offer this future-oriented, cost-free program in partnership with SIDBI. Recognizing the need for hands-on training and mentorship, our faculty has crafted this comprehensive course to bridge theory and practice.”
The SWAVALAMBAN program features an integrated, blended curriculum designed to provide participants with top-notch academic and professional mentorship at no cost. It aims to bring together thirty aspiring entrepreneurs who seek practical training and exposure to real-time case studies.

Candidates seeking admission to the MBA programme at IIM Raipur must meet the overall and section-wise CAT percentile. According to cut-off details of IIM Raipur for the year 2023, candidates having overall and section-wise CAT percentile equal to or above 90 were eligible for admission to the MBA programme.
Hence, students are advised to give equal importance to all the sections, i.e. verbal ability and reading comprehension (VARC), data interpretation and logical reasoning (DILR) and quantitative aptitude (QA) while preparing for the CAT exam to get eligible for admission to the MBA programme at IIM Raipur.
Candidates planning to take admission in MBA course at IIM Raipur must fulfil the given conditions:
- Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories).
- Candidate must have a valid Common Admission Test (CAT) percentile to become eligible for further admission rounds held by IIM Raipur.
- Candidates with valid CAT scores must register for the Personal Interview (PI) round.
- Finally, if the candidate successfully fulfils all the conditions will now have to get the documents verified and pay the tuition fees.
