Each course grants 6 to 12 credits, and once a learner accumulates 36 or more credits (by completing 5 to 6 courses), they can claim the ePGD IxD. Alternatively, learners can deposit their credits in the Academic Bank of Credits for use in other programs.

Expanding its offerings for working professionals, IIT Bombay’s IDC School of Design has launched the e-Postgraduate Diploma in Interaction Design (ePGD IxD). First time in 25 years that IIT Bombay is offering academic credits to professionals through a structured diploma program.

Flexible Learning with Credit-Based System

The ePGD IxD is designed as a flexible, self-paced program. Learners can register for individual courses instead of committing to the entire program upfront. Each course grants 6 to 12 credits, and once a learner accumulates 36 or more credits (by completing 5 to 6 courses), they can claim the ePGD IxD. Alternatively, learners can deposit their credits in the Academic Bank of Credits for use in other programs.

Integration of Popular Courses

The Monsoon Course on HCI, a favorite among industry professionals since 2000, has now been integrated into the ePGD IxD under the title Design of Interactive Products. This course, worth 12 credits, will be conducted in-person from March 17 to April 1, 2025, and is open for registration.
