WBJEEB Announces PUBDET 2025, PUMDET 2025 Dates

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has announced the tentative schedule for all the entrance exams conducted by them in a recent notice. According to the notice, PUBDET 2025 will be conducted on June 21, 2025 (Saturday) and June 22, 2025 (Sunday). While PUMDET 2025 is to be conducted on July 27, 2025 (Sunday). However, the exam body has mentioned that these tentative dates are subject to change on account of unavoidable circumstances. The application dates for both exams are to be announced shortly. Once registrations open, aspirants will be able to apply for them on the official web portals - wbjeeb.nic.in/pubdet and wbjeeb.nic.in/pumdet/. What are PUBDET and PUMDET?

WBJEEB conducts the Presidency University Bachelor Degree Entrance Test or PUBDET for admissions to BA and BSc programmes offered at this renowned university in Kolkata. Similarly, the Presidency University Masters Degree Entrance Test (PUMDET) is conducted for admissions to MA and MSc programmes. Both entrance exams are conducted offline (pen and paper mode). Examinees are given 90 minutes to take the test. The language medium is English across subjects (except for BA/ MA in Hindi and Bengali). The tests feature 50 multiple-choice questions each. Examinees are awarded 2 marks for each correct answer while 0.5 marks are deducted for each incorrect response. 

How to Apply for PUBDET 2025 and PUMDET 2025?

Aspiring Presidency University students can follow the steps mentioned below to apply for these entrance exams. 

Step 1 - Visit the official websites (mentioned above)

Step 2 - Click on the 2025 application form link. 

Step 3 - Register by entering personal details like your name, parents’ name, DOB, category, email ID, phone number, etc.

Step 4 - Now go on to fill the application form by providing details like preferred course, at least two exam centre zones, academic details, etc. 

Step 5 - Upload scanned images of your passport-sized photograph and signature.

Step 6 - Pay the application fee (INR 500 + bank service charges) using net banking, credit card, debit card or UPI. 

Once the application forms are submitted, an application confirmation page will be generated indicating that the registration for the exams is now complete.
