IILM University, Gurugram, held a grand convocation ceremony, celebrating the accomplishments of its MBA Class of 2024. The event, which took place on the university campus, was marked by inspiring speeches, degree conferrals, and the recognition of exceptional student achievements.
Welcoming Address by Dr Latha Krishnan
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome from Dr Latha Krishnan, Dean of PG Programs at IILM University. Dr Krishnan emphasized the importance of societal contributions and described success as a continuous journey rather than a final destination.
Keynote Address by Chief Guest Prashant Tripathy
Prashant Tripathy, Managing Director and CEO of Max Life Insurance, delivered the keynote address as the Chief Guest. Sharing his personal journey, Tripathy highlighted the value of continuous learning and encouraged graduates to develop leadership qualities and focus on essential soft skills such as communication and teamwork. He advised them to understand their business fundamentals and strive for commercial leadership, integrating various business aspects to become well-rounded professionals.
Graduates' Pledge and Awards
The ceremony also included a solemn pledge by the graduates to uphold the standards and values of IILM University. S Y Quraishi, Chancellor of IILM University, expressed confidence in the graduates' future success and their potential to drive positive societal change. Similarly, Professor (Dr) Padmakali Banerjee, Vice Chancellor, praised the graduates for their achievements and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in their careers.
Recognition of Outstanding Students
Noteworthy awards included the Academic Excellence Award presented to Gayatri Ram and the Overall Excellence Award to Palak Mangatani. Both students expressed their gratitude for the support they received during their academic journey. Additionally, Palak Mangatani and Shraban Sarkar were honored with the Best Industry Internship Project Award, while Vishal Kapoor and Satyaveer Paul were recognized as distinguished alumni for their significant contributions.
