SBI Clerk Notification 2026: The State Bank of India will soon release the SBI Clerk Notification on the official website at sbi.bank.in. It will be released in the form of PDF. Along with the notification PDF, SBI Clerk Application Form link will also be activated. 
The notification consists of the information about the exam including the vacancies, dates, selection process, application, exam pattern, syllabus, etc. It is also advised to the candidates to read the notification properly and understand the process of recruitment of SBI Clerk exam. The authority is expected to soon release the SBI Clerk notification 2026. The SBI clerk exam is conducted once a year. The vacancies will also be released along with the notification. the notification will be available in Hindi and English language. The exam pattern will be provided in the notification at sbi.bank.in. The SBI Clerk exam will be held in an online mode. It is important for a candidate to understand the exam pattern before starting their preparation and also before going through the syllabus. SBI Clerk prelims exam consists of questions that are asked from English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude subjects. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The prelims exam is qualifying in nature and the marks obtained in this stage are not counted for the final merit list. SBI Clerk mains exam pattern is such that it consists of questions from General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the mains exam are 200. The marks obtained in this stage are counted for the final merit list. The authority will release the SBI Clerk Notification 2026 on the official portal at sbi.bank.in. Along with the notification, the syllabus will also be issued. The SBI Clerk exam consists of two stages namely Prelims and Mains. It covers subjects including English language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and General/Financial Awareness. Every section in the exam is time bound. Therefore candidates need to manage both speed and accuracy in the examination. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list. What is SBI Clerk Salary?

Lakhs of candidates apply for SBI Clerk exam because of the salary and benefits offered by the bank. The basic pay SBI Clerk salary after 7th Pay Commission is INR 19,900 (INR 17900 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates). Earlier, the basic salary was INR 13,075 (INR 11, 756 plus two advance increments which are given to graduates). The payscale of SBI Clerk is INR 17,900-1000/3-20,900-1230/3-24,590-1490/4-30,550-1730/7-42,600-3270/1-45,930-1990/1-47,920. Earlier, the payscale was INR 11765-655/ 3-13730-815/ 3-16175-980/ 4-20095-1145/7-28110-2120/ 1-30230-1310/1-31450. Besides, candidates are also entitled to various perks, allowances and benefits. No, SBI follows a similar SBI Clerk exam pattern for different states. SBI Clerk exam pattern is such that it comprises prelims exam, Mains exam and language proficiency test. The prelims and Mains exams are conducted online. The prelims exam carries three sections-English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The Mains exam is conducted for the qualified candidates of the prelims exam. The Mains exam carries four sections: General/ Financial Awareness, General English Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. Candidates qualifying the Mains exam are called for language proficiency. It is mandatory to clear the language proficiency test.
Q:   What is SBI Clerk negative marking?
A: 

There is a negative marking in the SBI Clerk exam. 1/4th mark assigned to a particular question is deducted as a penalty for wrong answers. For correct answers in the exam, candidates score one mark. The total marks of candidates are calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers. The corrected scores obtained by each candidate in different sessions of the exam are normalised using the equi-percentile method. Scores upto two decimal points are taken for the purpose of calculations. The marks of candidates are calculated as per marking scheme. Candidates should attempt maximum number of questions to secure the desired score in the exam.

Q:   What is the qualifying score in SBI Clerk Mains exam?

Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon). Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be as decided by the bank. No minimum qualifying marks for individual subject are prescribed. Section wise marks will not be maintained.
