SBI Clerk 2026 Recruitment: The State Bank of India (SBI) will release SBI Clerk recruitment notification in August 2026. SBI Clerk apply online link will be was activated in August. The last date to fill SBI Clerk application formwill be notified by the examination authority.

Candidates for SBI Clerk exam are selected based on prelims and mains exams. However, the prelims exam is qualifying in nature. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are called for the Language Proficiency Test. Read below for more details on SBI Clerk recruitment.

SBI Clerk recruitment notification is released for recruitment to the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales). Q:   What is SBI Clerk eligibility criteria?
A: 

To be eligible for SBI Clerk exam, candidates should be between 20 and 28 years and have completed graduation in any discipline. Candidates who are in the final year of graduation can also apply for the exam provisionally. Relaxation in the upper age limit is given to candidates belonging to reserved categories. Candidates should check the SBI Clerk eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The category-wise relaxation given to candidates is given below.

SBI Clerk exam is conducted by State Bank of India to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales). Selection process comprises prelims and Mains exam. LPT is also conducted. Final selection is done based on marks obtained in Mains exam.

SBI Clerk salary is INR 19,900 (INR 17,900 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates). The pay scale as per SBI Clerk salary is INR .17900-1000/3-20900-1230/3-24590-1490/4-30550-1730/7-42600-3270/1-45930-1990/1-47920. SBI Clerk Selection Process

The selection process consists of online tests (preliminary and mains exam) and tests of specified opted local language. On the basis of the preliminary exam, 10 times the number of vacancies are selected for the mains exam. According to SBI Clerk selection process, Candidates are required to score minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates, five per cent relaxation is available thereon). The merit list is drawn state-wise and category-wise.

Candidates qualified in the mains exam are placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective states and categories. Those who qualify the mains exam are called for local language tests. Subject to qualifying specified opted local language and based on the marks of the mains exam, candidates will be selected for appointment. The marks obtained in the preliminary exam are not added for the selection.

Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon). Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be as decided by the bank. No minimum qualifying marks for individual subject are prescribed. Section wise marks will not be maintained.

Q:   How many rounds are there in SBI Clerk exam?
A: 

SBI Clerk exam comprises prelims and Mains exams. Total marks allotted to test are 100. Total marks for the mains test are 200. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are also required to appear for LPT. Prelims marks are not counted for the final merit list.
