Hyderabad University admission to all the courses is conducted on the basis of the entrance exam. The university accepts several entrance exams for admission. It provides admissions to the five-year integrated UG+PG programs on the basis of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) (UG). Aspiring candidates must qualify for the eligibility criteria for the desired course.
Hyderabad University offers BTech course to students at the UG level. It is offered for 4 years in several specialisations. To be eligible for BTech at University of Hyderabad, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the college. Candidates must be Class 12 passed from a recognised board.
Students must attend 75% of classes held in all courses at the University of Hyderabad. Hence, low attendance can affect their chances of appearing in the semester-end exams. Ever student is bound to follow this and there will be exceptions given for only a few students belonging to special cases.
There are no B.Tech programmes available through the University of Hyderabad. It does, however, provide admission to a five-year Integrated M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, provided that applicants complete the necessary requirements and obtain a passing score in the JEE Main exam. With effect from the academic year 2014-2015, the School of Computer and Information Sciences at UoH launched this five-year Integrated M.Tech degree. After five years, students receive an M.Tech degree; however, there is no way out before that point.
