Frankly speaking there is nothing to differentiate between these two except that Maitreyi is women only while Zakir Husain is co-ed. Hence boys have no choice but to go to Zakir Husain while girls can opt out of the two. 

   In final analysis, one can say that both colleges are of equal calibre and a student can choose anyone without losing out on anything.
