If you have made the decision of studying chemical engineering then ICT Mumbai would be the best option you could have.
ICT have an edge due to its specialised focus.ICT mumbai is way better than NIT Trichy for chemical engineering on most of the parameters if you are truly interested in chemical engineering . ICT has way better exposure and research than NIT Trichy .Professors will mostly be better at ICT mumbai.
NIT Trichy is better for CSE IT related branches .
Remember that ICT is an institution which specializes in chemical engineering and technology as it's name suggests .Go for it only if you are whole heartedly i

You have maximum chances for getting any NIT for CSE. About 5 to 6 Lacs students appearing for JEE Mains exams every year. Probably 6 to 9 percentage of students scored above 98%. Surely, you have a chance for getting to NIT for any of the courses, but for CSE it not sure you have maximum chances.

You might find it tough getting admission into the B. Tech IT program at Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering with an 89 percentile in the JEE since an expected cutoff for IT can be generally around 96 percentile or more for general category students.
Since you are applying under the Gujarati quota, which reserves 51% of the seats for Gujarati linguistic minority candidates, your chances might improve. The cutoff tends to be lower for Gujarati candidates, but the competition is not that weak. It would be advisable to look into the trends of the specific cutoffs for the current admission cycle and participate in the Maharashtra CA

Yes, there is an option to get admission into Future Institute of Engineering and Management (FIEM) for the B.Tech programme without having to appear for WBJEE or JEE Main. Most often in this case, the candidates would have to meet required eligibility like having attained the wanted marks in the 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and either Chemistry or Biology.
It is notable that not many apply for this admission route, while the process and availability can widely vary according to the universities. For such particulars and the availability of such options, it would be fruitful to reach the admission office of FIEM.

A 92 percentile in JEE Mains can barely help you enter into an NIT, formulating a sweet proportion for' computer Science and electrical engineering branches. Well, there are still chances that you might get into some NITs and branches, even though they may be slightly messy in cutoffs or have lower openings with new institutions.
To improve your chances:
You aim for the new NITs or the ones with low cutoffs.
You can consider branches like Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Biotechnology, which have lower cut-offs as compared to core branches such as CSE or ECE.
The final allocation of seats shall depend on your category of G

With a SC category rank of 3568 in JEE Advanced, you have a decent chance of being able to get into several IITs, though some branches will depend on the cut-off of the year. The branches which you should expect may include Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering at premier IITs like IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, or IIT Madras. The new IITs, such as IIT Bhilai, IIT Goa, and IIT Jammu, may still offer good options for core branches like Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering. The final options will be presented through JoSAA counselling.
