The BTech in Naval Architecture syllabus includes core subject modules, programme electives, lab work, and industrial projects. There is no room for customization when it comes to the core subjects because of their role in providing fundamental knowledge of shipbuilding and marine maintenance.

But the elective subjects do give you some scope for customization, as you can pick the subjects based on your interests and understanding, the ones that align with your future plans and are relevant as per market demands.

A few IITs in India offer the integrated BTech+MTech degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering that takes around 5 years to complete. You can earn a dual degree with this one-time investment of time and money and gain exceptional practical and theoretical experience during the course duration.
