Q:   Is two year D.Ed. or B.El.Ed. equivalent to B.Ed. Special Education?
A:

No, a two-year Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) or a Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) is not the same as a B.Ed Special Education. This is because D.Ed. and B.El.Ed. are Diploma and bachelor's degrees, respectively, focusing on general elementary education (Classes 1-5 or 1-8).

While, if we look at B.Ed. Special Education, it is a bachelor's degree specifically designed to train teachers for students with special needs.

Q:   Can I specialize in a particular subject during B.Ed?
A:

Yes, many B.Ed. programs offer specializations in specific subject areas like:

  • Science Education
  • Mathematics Education
  • Language Education (English, Hindi, etc.)
  • Social Science Education
  • Physical Education
  • Special Education
