- Bachelor of Education (BEd) is a programme which extends over a period of two academic year consisting of 4 semesters
- The duration of the first semester is of 16 weeks and second semester of 18 weeks (Minimum duration for practice teaching in the second semester shall be 4 weeks which excludes micro years.)
- Third semester internship is of 16 weeks and the Fourth semester is of 18 weeks (200 working days)
- As per the Right to Education (RTE) Act, to get appointed as a teacher in any school in India, a candidate must pass the Teacher Eligiblity Test (TET)/ Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) exam, conducted by the appropriate Government according to the guidelines framed by NCTE.

Students must have passed undergraduate in any discipline from any recognized University in India or abroad which is recognized by UGC or AIU with marks mentioned or equivalent grade in all the subjects including languages and the students who are in the final year should have secured 50% in all the subjects including languages up to the previous semester/year. Students with a bachelor's in engineering or technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics should have 55% or equivalent grade in all the subjects and students appearing for their final degree examinations in March or May 2026 are also eligible.
