AGRICET Exam 2026 will be conducted online. The tentative date of the exam is August 18, 2026, as per last year's trend. AGRICET Answer keys will be out in PDF form on the official portal. What is AGRICET?

The Acharya N.G. Agricultural University (ANGRAU) conducts the Agriculture Common Entrance Test (AGRICET). Applications are invited from Diploma holders in Agriculture, Seed Technology, and Organic Farming for admission into the BSc (Hons) Agriculture Degree Programme. AGRICET is a state-level entrance exam which is conducted in online mode. The Entrance test is 1 hr and 30 minutes in duration, and the question paper consists of a total of 120 questions. All questions are objective type (multiple choice) only, and each question carries one mark. The question paper contains questions in the Telugu medium.

AGRICET Eligibility Criteria 2026

To be eligible for the AGRICET exam for the academic session 2026-27, candidates must have completed classes 10 and 12 or equivalent from a recognised board. Candidates should secure a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate, and students must have studied Physical Science and Biological Science as compulsory subjects in classes 10 and 12. 

  • Candidates should have passed two-year Diploma in Agriculture / Seed Technology / Organic Farming from ANGRAU / PJTSAU (those who are going to complete the diploma requirements in the 2026 can also apply).
  • Candidates should be at least 17 years of age as of 31st December, 2026, with an upper age limit of 22 years for all candidates and 25 years for SC, ST, and 27 years for PwD candidates.

Note: The candidates are eligible to write exam in their respective discipline only.

Reservation: As per rules of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The seats will be allocated in the ratio of 85% for local candidates and the remaining 15% seats will be treated as unreserved quota.

AGRICET 2026 Counselling Process

The AGRICET counselling process starts after the result is announced. The starting date for the seat allotment process for AGRICET will be October 31, 2026, tentatively. The deadline to report to the university for the document verification process will be the first week of November 2026. 

As soon as students know they are eligible for the admission process, they should start preparing all the important documents needed during the counselling process. AGRICET Result 2026

The AGRICET Result will be out in the fourth week of September 2026. The result was released by the exam officials, Acharya N.G.Ranga Agricultural University, on their official portal. Students were told to go to the portal to check out their results or rankcard. 

Students need to use their login details to download their scorecard. Also, they must take a printout of their result and save it in the PDF format because they may need it during the admission process and during the AGRICET counselling process. When the result is out, the notice will be published on the official portal first, and therefore, students must rely on authentic information only. AGRICET Exam 2026 Syllabus

Candidates need to stick to the AGRICET 2026 syllabus as all the questions in the entrance exam will be asked from the syllabus only. The questions will not be asked out of context. AGRICET Exam 2026 Application Process

Here are the steps for candidates who wish to fill out the application form to appear for the AGRICET Exam.

Step 1: Pay the Application Fee

First, candidates had to pay the application fee via online mode via credit card/ debit card/ net banking. For this, candidates had to fill in the basic details such as diploma ID number, candidate's name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, category and payment type. The application fee for AGRICET is tabulated below:

Note: Once payment is made, it cannot be refunded under any circumstances, hence, the candidates had to ensure that they fulfil the specified eligibility criteria before submitting the online application for counselling.

Step 2: Check Payment Status

Candidates can check their payment status by filling in their mobile number and date of birth in "Know your payment status" tab.

Step 3: Fill the Application Form

The candidate had to apply online for AGRICET 2026 on the official website of the AGRICULTURE COMMON ENTRANCE TEST. Students had to enter the details as required on the application form and upload their respective passport-size photographs and signatures. Candidates are advised to fill out the application form correctly.

Step 4: Print the Application Form and Send the Hard Copy

After successful completion of online submission of application, the candidates were required to send the hardcopy of the submitted ONLINE application along with the following documents (by Regd. Post /Speed Post) to reach “The Convener, AGRICET-2026, O/o The Associate Dean, S.V.Agricultural College, Tirupati -517 502, A.P. on or before “10.08.2026”. List of documents to be attached with the hard copy of the ONLINE application are given below:

1. Hard copy of online submitted Application form.

2. Proof of Age (Birth certificate/Xerox copy of SSC certificate).

3. Attested copy of the marks statement of SSC.

4. Marks memorandum cum pass certificate of Diploma Course (or) Course Completion Certificate of Diploma issued by the Principal of the Polytechnic.

5. Latest Conduct certificate issued by the Head of the Institute last attended, indicating that he/she has never been found guilty of misconduct during the study period and never been fined and punished.

6. Latest Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ST/BCs) issued by the Mandal Revenue Officer (not older than 6 months).

7. Proof of local status (last 7 years) through study or residence certificate.

8. Certificate issued by the concerned authorities in the case of Special categories like PH, NCC,Sports and CAP.

9. One self-attested passport-size photograph.

10. Payment acknowledgement (Transaction ID/UTR) paid through online for INR 1400/- for General and INR 700/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates (or) in the event of late fee paid INR 2,800/- (INR 1400/- in case of SC/ST/PH).

Step 5: Download AGRICET Admit Card

Those who successfully filled and submitted their AGRICET application form could obtain the admit card (hall ticket) from the official website of AGRICET. Admit card is an important document which is required to be carried to the exam center.

AGRICET 2026 Admission Process

The selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the AGRICET conducted by the Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University. After the merit list is issued by the university, a counselling session will be organised for selected students. The admission process is explained below in detail.

Step 1: Appear For AGRICET

AGRICET exam will be held at the state level. It is a written test of one hour and 30 minutes duration. Candidates are advised to check the exam pattern, syllabus and marking scheme before appearing for the exam. Candidates appearing for AGRICET Social Distance-Computer Based Testing (SD-CBT) are advised to bring the following items to the exam centres:

  • Mask
  • A pair of Hand Gloves
  • Personal Hand Sanitizer
  • Personal Transparent Drinking water bottle with water
  • A Simple pen
  • Admit Card
  • Identity Card issued by any statutory authority

Note: No other item will be permitted inside the exam centre. The admit card will clearly state the items permitted to be carried and that they are not permitted to carry anything else. Candidates will be told to switch off their mobile phones and deposit them at the designated location, to be collected while exiting.

Step 2: Declaration of Results

The merit list of the candidates will be displayed on the University website www.angrau.ac.in, and the eligible candidates shall be informed about the counselling date through the University website ONLY. For the preparation of the merit list, in case of more than one student securing the same combined score, the tie shall be resolved to decide the relative ranking by successively considering the following:
I. The total marks / OGPA obtained in Diploma
II. SSC Overall Grade Point or Marks Percentage
III. If the tie still persists, the date of birth of the concerned candidates, the older being given preference over the younger.

Step 3: Appear for Counselling

The counseling dates for admission will be displayed on the University website www.angrau.ac.in and will be held at the auditorium, RARS, LAM, Guntur. There will be different phases of counselling, depending on the seats left and the cut-offs.

Test Centres: The AGRICET exam will be held in 13 test centres across the state.

AGRICET Exam 2026 Admit Card

The AGRICET Hall Tickets can be downloaded by entering the Registration Number of the applicant from the University website: www.angrau.ac.in, with the respective diploma specialisation (Agriculture/Seed Technology/Organic Farming), with indicated Entrance Test Centres.

The Hall ticket shall be presented at the Examination Hall, failing which the candidate will not be allowed for the test (if the photograph/signature is missing or blurred or invisible on Hall Ticket, paste your passport-size photograph & sign in the prescribed area duly attested by Gazetted Officer with seal and a Xerox copy of the same Hall Ticket is to be handed over to the invigilator). The AGRICET Hall Ticket will be released tentatively on August 9, 2026.
