University of Allahabad, B.Voc in media production review a fabulous journey.

Placements: The admissions for B.Voc. media production in the year 2024 was 50+ students. It is a professional course that requires 30,000 per semester. The highest package offered in my batch is 8 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiters for our course are Aaj Tak, Times of India, Hindustan Times, Amar Ujala, Door Darshan, DD National, etc.

Infrastructure: University of Allahabad is known for its momentous buildings. When we talk about the center of media studies, the buildings are average. But the department is so beautiful and has a separate stage library. It has a Wi-Fi media research cell, photography lab, videography, lab, and many other things. It has a beautiful infrastructure. Hostels are good enough and they have good medical facilities. Sports and games are played very well and competitions are organised to keep the spirit high of the students. If someone is suffering from any disease they take the pain and help the students.

Faculty: Teachers are highly knowledgeable, qualified, and helpful to their students. The teaching qualities are tremendous and perfect. The curriculum is relevant and helps in this industry because B.Voc media production provides practical practice of media, which helps the student in their placements. Semester exams are not that tough. If you have studied enough and well in your classes because teachers teach very nicely. They give the same questions and the same concepts they have taught in the class so passing with more than 60% is considered to be good and first division in University of Allahabad. Teachers are also very nice.

Other: I chose this course, because I wanted to learn new skills, technical features, and practical aspects of media. I did not want to be a bookworm because being in media is being smart, skillful, and practically good. Many workshops visits, and different clubs are made to increase the practical experience of the students. Campus crowd is a lot, but campus is so big that you can wonder anywhere. Surroundings are beautiful. Scholarships are provided and extracurricular activities are fabulous.

Media Studies in University of Allahabad.

Placements: There is not any on campus placement in the college but you surely get recommended by college professor to multiple media houses. Internships programs are offered by various publishing media houses. You can apply offcampus placement for several roles.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are big and accomodated with Air Conditioning. Colleges three labs ( Photography, Computer, Video Editing ) Labs. You have access to main central library of the university. Hostel has good architecture but the room has less space. The food of a mess is okay.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, supportive and knowledgeable, and are always ready to help you and most of the time they explain you various topics practically. Various gears are available like Camera for enhancing your photography skills Semester Exams level was moderate.

Other: I had a keen interest in Media Studies and in photography, so I chose this course. You will get to know about several things about media. College do not offer its own scholarship but it offer state government scholarship. Campus Surrounding is quite good and has good connectivity.
