TANCET results are accepted by Annamalai University Distance Education for admission to its MBA program; additionally, applicants must have earned at least 50% of their bachelor's degree in the general category and 45% in the reserved category. The MBA programme offers two years of study with the following specializations: financial management, hospital management, business analytics and business intelligence, marketing management, human resource management, and information systems. The course cost is INR 58,260 per year, and the application process is online.

Candidates can apply for Annamalai University admission in online mode through its official website. Interested applicants also need to pay a course-specific application fee to conclude the application process. The university is ranked among the top three Universities in India for best distance education providers. The University has educated over 4.5 Lacs students in the past and continues to teach over thousands more. Hence, it is a good university for candidates wanting to study a distance course.

Annamalai University DDE offers courses at UG, PG, Diploma and certificate levels in distance education mode. The on-campus courses at Annamalai University are duly approved/accredited by apex bodies like NAAC  (Grade A+), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), etc. Some of the popular courses at Annamalai DDE includes MA, BFA and MBA. The online/distance degrees offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Annamalai University are valid. Previously, the University Grants Commission (UGC) did not approve its courses starting from 2015. However, Annamalai University DDE  received relief from the Madras High Court in an order dated 21.01.2023. Subsequently, following a reassessment by the UGC, Annamalai DDE achieved a qualifying score of 3.38, which led to extending the validity of its programmes until 2027.
