Candidates can apply for Annamalai University admission in online mode through its official website. Interested applicants also need to pay a course-specific application fee to conclude the application process. The university is ranked among the top three Universities in India for best distance education providers. Annamalai University Distance Education offers admission to candidates based on their merit. Candidates can get a seat directly through Spot Admission. Aspirants have to submit the filled-in application form along with the documents to the nearest Learners Support Centre or LSC in-person to get direct admission. All Spot Admissions are subject to confirmation or cancellation (if found ineligible) by the Director, CD&OE.

The online/distance degrees offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Annamalai University are valid. Previously, the University Grants Commission (UGC) did not approve its courses starting from 2015. However, Annamalai University DDE  received relief from the Madras High Court in an order dated 21.01.2023. Subsequently, following a reassessment by the UGC, Annamalai DDE achieved a qualifying score of 3.38, which led to extending the validity of its programmes until 2027.

Annamalai University DDE offers courses at UG, PG, Diploma and certificate levels in distance education mode. The on-campus courses at Annamalai University are duly approved/accredited by apex bodies like NAAC  (Grade A+), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), etc. Some of the popular courses at Annamalai DDE includes MA, BFA and MBA. Annamalai University admission process for the BCom course starts with the submission of the application form. The form is available on the official website of the university. To fill out the form, students would be required to submit basic details such as name, contact details, education qualification, etc.

After completion of the application stage, the admission committee constitutes a rank list based on students’ scores in the qualifying examination. Based on this list, students are shortlisted. These students must report to the institute for verification of documents and payment of fees. Successful fee payment completes the admission process.

6. Community certificate (for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates)

8. Certificate of extra-curricular activities (if applicable)

The fees for UG courses at Annamalai University Tamil Nadu is very less comparatively to other colleges it is around INR 3,000-10,000 per year for courses like BFA and BSc and they are similar but a little high for B.Tech courses.
