The online/distance degrees offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Annamalai University are valid. Previously, the University Grants Commission (UGC) did not approve its courses starting from 2015. However, Annamalai University DDE  received relief from the Madras High Court in an order dated 21.01.2023. Subsequently, following a reassessment by the UGC, Annamalai DDE achieved a qualifying score of 3.38, which led to extending the validity of its programmes until 2027.

Annamalai University DDE offers BFA at the undergraduate (UG) level and MA, MBA, MCom, MFA, MSc, and MSW courses at the Postgraduate (PG) level. Candidates who are interested in getting admission to UG or PG courses offered by this university can apply by visiting the official website. Students can apply for UG admission program-level courses if they have a 10+2 degree in the relevant subject from a university that is known to be good. Admission to courses in UG programs is based only on merit. For PG-level courses, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a university that is recognized. You must secure a minimum aggregate ranging from 40% to 60%, differing as per the chosen course to get in Annamalai University UG and PhD courses. However, for PG level course admissions, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 40% to 50% in graduation. 

Candidates willing to get admission to various postgraduate and undergraduate programmes must apply online on the official website of Annamalai University Chidambaram. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are GATE, CEETA, NEET, and others. Candidates must prepare well for the entrance exams. At the undergraduate level, Annamalai University Chidambaram offers BA, BTech, BSc, and various other programmes to students. The university does not conduct any in-house entrance test for MBA in Annamalai University. However, the aspirants are selected based on merit in TANCET followed by a counselling round. Candidates seeking admission need to take the entrance test and apply by completing the TANCET application process. There is no other provision for admission to an MBA. Hence, aspirants must take the exam and secure a valid score.

Annamalai University inducts students to its BPharm course based on fulfillment of eligibility and selection criteria. Students who fulfill the eligibility criteria can begin the admission process by applying for the preferred BPharm course. After the application stage, the university begins with the selection process. Students are selected based on the merits obtained in the last qualifying exam. At last, the selected candidates must make the payment of the Annamalai University BPharm fee to secure admission.

Annamalai University admission process for the BCom course starts with the submission of the application form. The form is available on the official website of the university. To fill out the form, students would be required to submit basic details such as name, contact details, education qualification, etc.

After completion of the application stage, the admission committee constitutes a rank list based on students’ scores in the qualifying examination. Based on this list, students are shortlisted. These students must report to the institute for verification of documents and payment of fees. Successful fee payment completes the admission process.
