As per the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment guidelines, PwD candidates will be provided with following facilities:

1. Scribe facility: In case the candidate has physical limitation and required a scribe for writing the exam, he/she must be certified in the format provided by CMO/Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution.
2. Extra time: PwD candidates will get extra time of one hour whether such candidates use scribe facilities or not.

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

Assam University can be considered competitive as admission is based on the entrance exam scores. Courses such as BTech in Computer Science and Engineering are hard to get due to the high cutoff in JEE Main. For other courses, the university accepts the CUET UG exam. 50% of BTech seats are reserved for the permanent residents of Assam, and the remaining 50% are for All India candidates. Yes, Assam University offers separate boys' and girls' hostels. Assam University houses eleven hostels: five for boys and six for girls. The hostels are furnished with basic facilities. Along with the accommodation, the varsity also offers mess facilities to the students, which can be availed of by submitting a preference for a meal at the time of admission. Hostel seats are limited, and every student may not get a seat in the hostel. The availability of seats depends on the vacancy in the hostel.

Assam University offers over 86 UG, PG, diploma, doctoral, and certificate programmes in various fields, such as Engineering, Arts, Science, and Commerce, and for admission in many of the courses and specialisation there are specific entrance exams such as CUET-UG for admission in UG courses, CUET-PG for admission in PG course, JEE-Main for admission in BTech course.

Students need to prepare well for the aforesaid entrance examinations because having a good rank will ensure that the candidate becomes eligible for further counselling, followed by document verification and fee payment.
