at IIITM Gwalior, Gwalior

Admission to the 5-year IPG (BTech + MTech in IT (Information Technology) is through JEE (Mains) held annually, and subsequent JoSSA/CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) counselling. Candidates can refer to the table below to know about the previous year's cutoff for the integrated programme:

IIITM Gwalior offers five M.Tech specialisations. These are Computer Networking, Information Security, VLSI & Embedded Systems, Information Technology and Digital Communication. There are 60 seats reserved for the M.Tech programme at IIITM Gwalior. The total fee of the M.Tech programme at  IIITM Gwalior ranges between INR 2.44 Lacs - INR 6.5 lakh.

The last round cutoff score for M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering for students belonging to the General AI category is 529. Students aiming for admission at IIIT Gwalior should secure a score of at least 529 or higher to be qualified for M.Tech CSE. Cutoff scores are calculated on a variety of criteria, such as the number of candidates appearing for the examination, the difficulty level, past year trend cycle, etc. 

Please note that different categories will have different cutoff scores for the same course, e.g., the OBC AI quota last round cutoff for M.Tech in CSE is 486.

The tuition fees for M.Tech courses at IIITM Gwalior range from INR 2.4 Lacs to INR 7.9 Lacs and the tuition fees for M.Tech at NIT Patna range from INR 1.4 Lacs to INR 6.3 lakh. Conclusively,  the tuition fees of NIT Patna are more affordable compared to IIITM Gwalior. However, the fee structure can be only one component that candidates consider while comparing known engineering institutes but several factors can be taken into account while choosing the best college, such as placement packages, seats, ranking of that particular institute, affiliation, accreditation, etc.

IIITM admits students to its BTech and dual degree programmes based on their JEE Mains marks; however, students seeking MTech admission must meet the IIITM Gwalior GATE cut-off. JEE Main is conducted in two sessions each year, with session 2 usually held in April. For the current cycle, NTA had announced the JEE Main Session 2 exam dates, and the exams for Paper 1 (BTech) were conducted on April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8. The registration for session 2 is now closed. Now, prospective candidates should wait for the announcement of JEE Mains dates for the academic batch of 2026.
