Admission to the 5-year IPG (BTech + MTech in IT (Information Technology) is through JEE (Mains) held annually, and subsequent JoSSA/CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) counselling. Candidates can refer to the table below to know about the previous year's cutoff for the integrated programme:

IIITM Gwalior offers five M.Tech specialisations. These are Computer Networking, Information Security, VLSI & Embedded Systems, Information Technology and Digital Communication. There are 60 seats reserved for the M.Tech programme at IIITM Gwalior. The total fee of the M.Tech programme at  IIITM Gwalior ranges between INR 2.44 Lacs - INR 6.5 lakh.

The tuition fees for M.Tech courses at IIITM Gwalior range from INR 2.4 Lacs to INR 7.9 Lacs and the tuition fees for M.Tech at NIT Patna range from INR 1.4 Lacs to INR 6.3 lakh. Conclusively,  the tuition fees of NIT Patna are more affordable compared to IIITM Gwalior. However, the fee structure can be only one component that candidates consider while comparing known engineering institutes but several factors can be taken into account while choosing the best college, such as placement packages, seats, ranking of that particular institute, affiliation, accreditation, etc. 

IIITM admits students to its BTech and dual degree programmes based on their JEE Mains marks; however, students seeking MTech admission must meet the IIITM Gwalior GATE cut-off. Eligible candidates can register online by visiting the official website of the University. To apply for IIITM Gwalior, aspirants must first visit the official website of the individual entrance test for the courses to which they wish to apply. For example, aspirants must apply on the official JEE Main website to get admitted to BTech. Candidates must pass the GATE test in order to be admitted to the MTech programme. Eligibility for the GATE exam requires a minimum of 60% in graduation.
