It is the best college in Ranchi.
Placements: Around 18 students are enrolled currently. The salary package offered is 8 LPA. I don't know about internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very well-designed. All facilities are provided like lights, hot water, and cold water. We have a good playing area to get fresh air. There is a gym area. The mess food is good. We all have separate beds, chairs, and fans. Classrooms are well-designed.
Faculty: All professors conduct classes regularly and clear our confusion. The physics professor is very disciplined. The syllabus will be completed on time. Exams are conducted on time, so students do not have any problems. Students don't get the results on time. Professors teach students very well.
Other: Physics is my interesting subject, and I find it fascinating, so I chose this course. The best thing about our course is that the topics that are not included in the syllabus are taught by our professors very well. The campus crowd is not very much. The campus is still under construction. Scholarships are available to Jharkhand students only.

I am not completely satisfied with the college.
Placements: Only 5% of students were placed in my course. No package is offered. No companies visited the campus. 40% of students got internships. The companies are from different states. There are no top roles offered in my course because no companies visited here. Placements are very poor.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are good with air-conditioners. Wi-Fi is available. The library has many books. The laboratories are available for experiments, and also the required apparatus is available. Some apparatus we needed are not available. The quality of the hostel is good, and the quality of mess is also good. The canteen and medical facilities are good. Sports and games facilities are available.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They have wonderful knowledge and explain everything very well. Teaching quality is good and easy to understand. This course is curriculum-relevant. It makes students industry-ready.
Other: I like physics, and it helps to know how things work in this world. It creates curiosity in us to know everything. I wish the experiments must be increased so that we can learn every theory along with an experiment. Extracurricular activities are conducted in this college.

The new campus would be good, with good labs.
Placements: Placements are very little or zero. Students arrange internships on their own. Students apply for jobs and higher studies. Those who want to do PhD sit for JEST NET or GATE exams. Many go for government job examinations. Very few students qualify GATE, NET and JEST exams.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi for students. Very few instruments are available in the labs. The mess is good. Sports are also good. I opted for the hostel. There are blocks in the hostel named A, B, C, and D. There are also day scholars as well. The hostel and mess fee is feasible.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified and have PhDs. Contractual faculty members are not good. All the faculty members are well-behaved. Some of the faculty are very curious to know about yourself and clear doubts. But the faculty members never guide students about the future.
Other: The college is good, but it needs to change according to the competitive examinations. Faculty members are good. The language papers like Chinese and Korean have very good placements.

I am totally dissatisfied with the physics lab.
Placements: Only three or four students get placed every year from applied physics. The package offered is not so high, 25,000-35,000 per month. The college doesn't provide any support for students in getting internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the worst on this campus. Wi-Fi is not provided for the last 3 years. I can't tell about other labs, but the physics lab is not suitable and friendly for students, and students can't do experiments freely. The library and classrooms are good. Food in the mess is not good for students' health.
Faculty: In my 5 years of experience, I have met only 3 teachers who are friendly, knowledgeable, and well-qualified. Maximum of the teachers were not so experienced, they do their hard work, but due to the lack of experience, they fail to teach properly.
Other: I chose applied physics because I always wanted and was very enthusiastic about physics. I wanted to explore it. The practical part is lacking in this university. There are many cultural and science events conducted on our university campus.

Nowadays, integrated M.Sc. course is not available, so you can go for M.Sc. after graduation.
Placements: CUJ's placement record is average. I have studied 5-year integrated M.Sc. in applied physics and passed out this year. Students opting for the courses like energy engineering, mass communication, and MBA have great placement records. As per my knowledge, good companies like HCL, ETV Bihar, Wipro, Tata, Maruti Suzuki, etc., came for placements with good packages. I think almost every student got an internship from my batch in companies like Pantaloons, CSIR, ISRO, Big Bazar, Bhabha Atomic and Research Center etc. The college has good classrooms and green campus. This year, our college has shifted for a new campus that is situated in Cherry Manatu, Kanke, Ranchi. Qualified teachers, 2 labs, and one dark lab for experiments regarding light are available. Every year, our department conducts a seminar in which many professors from all over India and sometimes other countries also join us.
Infrastructure: Our college has all the facilities required for a student. It has a good library where we can study calmly (air-conditioned). 2 playgrounds, security, girls' hostel, boy's hostel, cafe, gym, badminton court, basketball court, indoor and outdoor games facilities, and Wi-Fi enabled campus are available. The good thing is that everyone is supportive here. Many washrooms are available. Two big generators and labs are available. The canteen (cafe) is average, but it has many seats. Hostel facilities are good. Twin and triple sharing rooms are available. One can get normal, semi-chilled and chilled water to drink. 6 washrooms are available in each corner of the building (hostel is on the ground floor only). The mess is good. Buffet system is followed. Food is tasty and nutritious. Our college has a doctor. We pay 600/- per semester for medical facilities. A nurse is also available. We can also go for BP check. There are 2 beds for treatment. One thing I liked is that the doctor is very friendly. He encourages you to study and not to worry.
Faculty: The college has highly qualified teachers. They completed their PhDs from colleges like IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, and some of them are trained in ISRO. One of our teachers has done his PhD from Germany and a few others from Portugal. I recommend enrolling for the courses like MBA, mass communication, energy engineering, B.Ed etc. As the fee is very low as compared to other institutions, and they offer placement facilities as well.
Other: Our batch was very good. Many students were from different parts of the country like Rajasthan, Odisha, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Tamilnadu etc. We enjoyed all our semesters. I chose physics because I'm very interested in it. I liked performing experiments in labs. Newton's rings were my favorite. I wish for an improvement in placements as only a few departments are good in this area. The management works very slowly. Events like Khelotsav, Rangoli designs, international level seminar, etc., are held. The college provides a 100% scholarship for bright students. The campus is lush green, and it is located 25 km away from Ranchi, in Ratu Lohardaga road. Our college website is cuj.ac.in.

I'm absolutely dissatisfied. Your career will get wasted if you are planning to take admission here.
Placements: The college is suffering due to internal politics and a laid back attitude of the administration. Placements in the college are nil as there is no placement cell. So the students have managed to get placed on their own, and the college has provided no placement assistance.
Infrastructure: The college is currently located in a temporary campus since its inception in 2009, and the plan was to shift to permanent campus in 2014. But no such action has been taken until now. The construction has stopped for the permanent campus as VC was charged serious corruption allegations.
Faculty: The university offers a variety of courses in the field of engineering and natural science subjects. There is also an integrated MBA programme and other programs like tribal and foreign languages. The faculty team is a mixed bag of experienced and temporary teachers. So the teaching quality varies with each branch.
Other: The college is located 25 km away from Ranchi city. It's well connected by roads. The campus has not been able to organise fests as the administration has failed in providing funds.

Central University of Jharkhand is a very good study hub amongst the universities of India.
Placements: Almost 4 students from our previous batch qualified GATE exam, and almost 4 students qualified CSIR NET/JRF. Around 2 students qualified JEST exam, and they are pursuing their PhDs from renowned research institutes. Almost 15 students out of 24 students of our batch are selected for internships at IITs and research institutes like TIFR, BARC, etc. The lowest stipend offered is Rs. 10,000. The highest stipend offered is Rs. 20,000 for 3-5 months. Many of the students are also well settled by getting placed in famous companies like TCS, Wipro, Honda, Vedanta, and Infosys, etc. The salary offered ranges between Rs. 30,000-50,000 per month. Various research works and innovative projects are offered to the students to enhance their interests and work experience in their research fields.
Infrastructure: Our university is spread over 100 acres, and it has two campuses. There is a well-furnished hostel facility for students. The hostel can accomodate almost 2000 students. Classrooms are equipped with air-conditioners. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Labs are well-equipped with high levels of instruments. The library contains a large collection of useful books of various subjects. The food served in the canteen and the mess is very hygienic and healthy. All the hostel rooms are cleaned and Wi-Fi enabled. There are well-equipped auditorium and a hospital available for the students and faculty members. There is a park and a canteen available here. There are three nationalised banks on the campus. There is a gym facility on the campus equipped with modern instruments. There is an indoor game hall for indoor games facility. Even there is a huge sporting ground which includes a basketball court, volleyball court, football ground, cricket field, lawn tennis court, kabbadi court, and various different courts for several games.
Faculty: All the faculty members in the college are highly qualified from research institutions, IITs, NITs and other famous universities of India and foreign countries. Some of them are scientists. They are very friendly and well mannered. Their approach to teaching is incomparable. They use both online and offline teaching methods. They also use projectors. The teacher to student ratio is 1:20. The academic syllabus is very helpful for the students to proceed in their research field and also to progress in life.
Other: There are various kinds of programs organised at the university. Every week, an international seminar and conference are organised by different departments. The famous spoke persons and motivators are also invited to the university to motivate and guide the students to proceed in life and to become a responsible citizen. Many fests like math festival, techno fest and Khelostav, etc., are organised here. The surrounding of the campus has book stores and various stalls. Students are getting various kinds of scholarships and financial assistance from the state government, central government, and also from the university fund. Many students with extracurricular talents like dancing, singing, writing, painting, indoor and outdoor games are representing the university in the state level, national level, and global level competitions.

CUJ - Central University of Jharkhand is the best.
Placements: This is a central University. It provides good placements for the students of all departments. Placements are good for the MBA department. The average salary offered was Rs. 25,000-30,000 per month. About 40% of the students are doing internships in IIT and many other research institutes. There is no placement cell in the college. Companies like Samsung, Tata and Wipro companies visited the campus for placements.
Infrastructure: Our classroom is air-conditioned. Labs are very good. There are medical facilities for every student for free. The library is neat and clean. Every year, a sports event called Khelostav is organised by the college. Our hostel is very good. Wi-Fi facility is available in our hostel. Food provided is very hygienic and is of good quality. But, the problem is that the washrooms in the hostel are very bad. There are no fans in many rooms, and we are facing a lot of issues in summer.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful to us. They are qualified and are from IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Khanpur. Their teaching quality is superb, and I love them. Some teachers give us notes, and it is very good. The student-faculty ratio is 5:1. I am pursuing integrated M.Sc. in physics.
Other: Khelostav is the major fest conducted in our university. The scholarship scheme in our college is very good. I applied for medhabruti scholarship under the Odisha government. The campus has a huge playground for cricket, and it also has a volleyball court and a basketball court.
