Review of CUJ - Central University of Jharkhand, established under the Act 2019.
Placements: Since the inception of the applied chemistry department in 2010, 3 batches have graduated from the university. With each passing year, the placement opportunities have been increasing in the university. Different schools and educational institutions visit the campus to offer placement opportunities. We are expecting industrial placements in the coming years as the university is signing different MoUs with PSUs. Almost everyone in the department gets an internship offer.
Infrastructure: Being on the temporary campus, we still have very good infrastructure. Being a lush green campus and situated away from the city's pollution, every student can have a great stay here. Wi-Fi facility is available all over the campus. Smart classrooms are available, which help the students have all-round development. The library has more than sufficient books for every student of different branches.
Faculty: As far as the chemistry department is concerned, we have a great pool of teaching and non-teaching staff members. Our faculty members are of national standards and are given many eminent awards in the field of science. More than 75% of the faculty members are permanent, and the quality of teaching of ad-hoc faculty members is very good. The course curriculum is designed according to the guidelines of UGC, and it helps students to prepare well for upcoming competitive examinations.
Other: Different fests like a technical fest named Navadhar, management fest and a sports fest named Khelostav are organised in the college. They help in the recreation and all-round development of students. Different festivals of national importance are celebrated with high energy.

An emerging Indian university.
Placements: I am the most senior and first batch to pass out from the department " Centre for Applied Chemistry". It's a non-technical stream so most of the students opt for PhD or higher studies (through NET, GATE, SET). As most of the students preferred research and higher study, so there is only one company that visited for our placement (GRK Labs- pharmaceutical). The interesting part is that the faculty is very cooperative and most of the students got an internship in IITs and other research institutions by their recommendation. And you will get the best exposure to research in Centre for Applied Chemistry.
Infrastructure: I think CUJ has the greenest campus among all Indian universities. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled and the classrooms too. Now the university is on its temporary campus at Brambe (20 km from Ranchi City). The permanent campus is still under construction and will be available for the students within 2 to 3 years. The new campus is just 5 km from Ranchi city. 24x7 medical and library facility is available. You can get here all the facilities as the other apex universities of govt. of India. The hostel rooms are the best. I think the material from which the rooms are made (not concrete) is best for both summer and winter. The quality of food is not that good.
Faculty: As I have mentioned before, the faculty members are very cooperative and highly qualified. In my department (applied chemistry), most of the faculty members are from IITs, IISc and also having Post Doc Fellow (PDF) from foreign universities. You can get help from the faculty even at 11 pm of the night for your doubts. As it is a central university, the number of seats is limited and all the students get admission through CUCET entrance exam. So the ratio between student and faculty is reliable. If you see the course curriculum, it's totally different from other central universities. In science, most of the applied courses are available and other emerging branches like nanotechnology, water management, geo informatics, energy engineering are there too.
Other: If you qualify the CUCET entrance, are a science student and interested in higher studies and research, then don't think much, just go for it. Because you will not get the coursed offered here in other universities at such an affordable price. Like in science - applied physics, applied chemistry, applied mathematics, life science, environmental science, land resource management. In technical - water engineering and management, energy engineering, nano technology. In language and arts - mass communication, indigenous culture studies, international relation, performing arts, tribal and customary law, tribal folklore language and literature. All these courses are not available in other central universities. That's what it makes CUJ unique.
Yes, it is the best place for research oriented programme but still, it lacks in infrastructure and lab equipment. Hope in near future, the govt. can avail all the requirements to CUJ.

Absolutely good but it depends on person to person .
Placements: 20% student get intershiplike in NIT Rourkela and NIT Patna etc. All over the india they got internship opportunity and there are some student who get there Ph.D. from same university and they become professor at same university mainly this happen in mathematics department .
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi labs classroom and smartboard library security guard 24/7 library have their own book for study and there are separate section for Ph.D. student for study but there are no AC in library that is the problem of my university and village are free to move in your university there will no boundary in your university .
Faculty: Teacher are mainly qualify there Ph.D. from top IIT
Yes there are extra classes for industry ready
Semester exam is normal to moderate lvl
There are also teacher come from other university/institution of Ranchi to take viva of different practical examination of classes .
Other: Connectivity not very good and there will no boundery all over the university .
