Central University of Kashmir accepts the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) scores followed by counselling for admission to its various courses. Central University of Kashmir offers entrance-based admission to all its courses. The college accepts the score of the CUET entrance exam conducted by NTA for admission to UG and PG courses. Further, for MBA and BTech courses the university provide seat based on CMAT and JEE Main score, rsepectively. To be eligible for admission to any courses, candidates must apply and appear for the entrance exam.

School of Legal Studies - Central University of Kashmir has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

The Central University of Kashmir PG admission to MA, MSc and MCom, among other courses are based on candidates' performance in the CUET PG entranc exam, followed by a university based counselling rounds. During the CUK CUET PG 2024 cutoff, the most in-demand course was M.A. of Law (LL.M.) with a last round score of 100 for the General AI quota. For the OBC category students, the round 1 and the last round cutoff scores were 93 and 59, respectively in the AI quota.
