You cannot join the Central University of Punjab without appearing for the central university's common test CUET for PG course. The eligibility criteria for PG courses at the Central University of Punjab require a valid score on CUET PG and graduation with merit. The admission process for PG courses is based on CUET followed by the couselling rounds. Candidates must make sure to have Bachelor's degree from a recignised board before applying for the exam.
Central University of Punjab does offers MSc course at postgraduate-level via different departments across multiple specialisations including Geography, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Environmental Science and Technology, Molecular Medicine, and more. The MSc course is offered in a full-time mode lasting for two years.
Admission to the MSc course is based on the merit of the students in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG conducted by NTA. Aspirants willing to apply for Central University of Punjab admission 2025 for MSc must register themselves for CUET PG exams and appear for the same.
Central University of Punjab University MSc admission is conducted through the CUET PG exam. Candidates must fill out the online application form available on official website of the exam. While fillingout the application form candidates must make selection of the university and programme they want to apply for. Candidats can follow the below steps to for Central University of Punjab University MSc admission:
Step 1: After adding the exam centre city preferences, candidates will then have to select the University/Programme selection.
Step 2: In this section, candidates are required to select the Central University of Punjab University first and then select the MSc programme. After adding the university programme choices, save the details and move on to the next sections.
Step 3: In this section, candidates need to add the test details. Add the test paper subject code from the drop-down options mentioned in the window. After adding all the respective test paper codes of the university programme list which was selected in the previous step, save the details.
Central University of Punjab MSc seats are allocated as per the counseling rounds that is conducted based on the CUET PG exam scores. After the counseling process, the university releases the provisional merit lists. All the candidates whose names are displayed on the admission are required to deposit the admission fee online through the online counseling portal for claiming their seat, failing which can lead to admission cancellation. Further, the Central University of Punjab also conducts spot or direct admission rounds for the remaining seats after the counseling rounds.
CUET PG 2026 is a nation-level exam conducted for admissions to the master's degree and professional degree courses for around 200 participating universities. NTA, the exam conducting body, conducts the exam every year, and the role of NTA is till the declaration of results. The exam officials don't release any specific CUET PG cut-offs.
CUET PG cut-off 2026 will be released by the participating universities individually, depending upon the number of registrations made by the candidates and the availability of seats.
