Review of CEPT University.
Placements: We do not have active placements for this course as many students pursue their careers in academia and research fields after this course. Students also pursue their academic research through prestigious fellowship programs. Students also work at CEPT archives and curate books about the field.
Infrastructure: The whole building is dedicated to the department called the FA building. We have a studio. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The campus is open till midnight for students to work. We frequently access the library for our reading sessions. It has a resourceful environment where students can sit and work till late evening. All classrooms facilitate active discussions. Our college has two girls' hostels for PG and UG students. Around 2 students can share each hostel room. Each hostel can accommodate 128 students. The hostel has Wi-Fi, study tables, and beds. All hostels are well-equipped.
Faculty: All faculty members are helpful and approachable. They spend a lot of time in discussions to help us sort out our work. The course is structured to encourage active discussions and questions. The curriculum facilitates active engagement in reading and analysing key texts. It helps us work on clarity of the topic we're working on. The course helps students to find their niche. It provides many opportunities to help students to build their skills. We don't have any written examinations in the course. We have a jury for studio and final submissions for the mandatory subject. All faculty members are structured to help us follow through with the studio. The pass percentage is high as the course structure allows us to expand and explore areas of our interest.
Other: I opted for this course because I am intrigued by architectural history, its facets, and research. The best thing about our course is its structure. It provides us with immense opportunities to learn, explore, and question many things which we learned in our undergrad. We can understand the implications of historical events on the narratives we choose to look at history with. It develops our critical thinking skills and makes us relook at various instances of architectural history and narratives from a wider perspective. We have multiple cultural events during the spring semester. We have an AHR symposium that covers the wider topics of research and academia and multiple lecture series where eminent scholars from different parts of the world come in to talk about different topics and their works. We have different clubs on campus for theatre, dancing, reading, etc. All these clubs have active members. Students pursue various extracurricular learning through electives.
