NIT Calicut MBA Courses & Fees 2025: Eligibility, Cutoff, Admission 2025, Seats

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate (6.0 out of 10 CGPA) for SC and ST categories)  is the basic eligibility required to get admission to MBA at NITC. The aspirants shall further have a minimum of three-year work experience. Furthermore, all the documents such as bachelor’s degree, mark sheets, etc. are required at the time of admission for verification purposes.

Yes, candidates can pursue an MBA course from NIT Calicut. The institute offers MBA courses for the duration of two years, divided into four semesters, and offered in full-time mode. To get admission into the MBA course at NIT Calicut, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution on a full-time basis with a minimum of 60% aggregate. 

CAT 2024 admit card download date was Nov 5, 2024. Using their login information, candidates who had registered for the CAT 2024 exam could download their CAT hall ticket. Candidates could download the CAT 2024 admit card up until the day of the test. But it is best to download it in advance.

Yes, CAT 2025 exam will be conducted in three shifts. The exam was earlier conducted in 2 shifts, but since 2020, the CAT is conducted in three shifts - morning, afternoon and evening. In CAT 2025 too, there will be three slots which will be allotted to applicants in no particular order.

CAT exam slot timings will be -

• First shift: 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 
• Second shift: 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and 
• Third shift: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Apart from JEE Main, NIT Calicut offers admission to BTech course based on DASA UG scores. Based on cutoff 2020, 2021 and 2022, NIT Calicut cutoff for Round 1 Seat Allotment can be expected to range as follows: 

For B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering it must range between 268 and 449 

For B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering it must range between 724 and 747

For B.Tech. in Engineering Physics it must range between 190 and 656

For B.Tech. in Materials Science and Engineering it must range around 505

No, NIT Calicut does not facilitate direct admission to any of the courses. Admission is entirely based on merit in the national-level exams, including JEE Main,  GATE,  IIT JAM,  CAT,  NIMCET,  UGC NET, etc. Candidates are further required to participate in other selection rounds, such as counselling, written exam, and interview as well, as per the applied course selection criteria.

Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme is under the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India for admission to Undergraduate programmes in Engineering/Architecture/ Planning for the Academic offered by the National Institute of Technology Calicut. NIT Calicut admissions 2025 are based on various national-level entrance exams such as CAT, JEE Main, GATE, etc. The mode of application at NIT Calicut is online. Candidates can check the list of documents required for admission at the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, below:

National Institute of Technology, Calicut is one of the top-ranked Architecture institutes in India. The institute has been ranked 3rd in the 'Architecture' category,  25th in the 'Engineering' category, and 76th in the 'Management' category by NIRF Ranking 2024. Talking about the placements, the the highest and average package offered during NIT Calicut placements 2023 stood at INR 50 LPA and INR 13.77 LPA, respectively. Hence, we can conclude that NIT Calicut is one of the renowned institutes in the country.

 Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements for MSc courses are eligible to take admission. Selection is further done based on the aspirant’s merit in IIT JAM. The application process for IIT JAM is online (jam.iitg.ac.in). The shortlisted candidates are further required to participate in CCMN counselling.

NIT Calicut admissions are entirely entrance-based for all its UG & PG courses. Candidates are shortlisted based on their past academic records along with their scores in the respective entrance exams accepted for different courses. NIT Calicut cutoff 2025 has been released for admission to three MSc courses based on candidates' performance in the IIT JAM entrance exam, followed by the CCMN counselling process.
