Dibrugarh University offers various scholarships to its meritorious students. These scholarships are funded by Dibrugarh University, the Government of Assam and various other Departments of State and Central Government/any private organisation/NGOs. Apart from that, the university also provides Endowment Awards to its students, based on specific eligibility criteria. Dibrugarh University offers admission to courses based on entrance and requires for candidates to secure valid scores in the accepted entrance exams. The University offers courses such as BSc, BTech, BPharma, BEd, MSc, MBA and many more in full-time and distant mode.

Admission to majority of UG level courses require for candidates to secure a minimum aggregate in Class 12 and previous entrance examination. Whereas, for admission to PG level courses, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate in graduation. Apart from this, the University accepts valid scores of entrance exams such as JEE Main, DUEE, MAT, CAT, XAT, CMAT, GATE, NEET PG and others. 

Dibrugarh University is a state-level public university established in 1965. The University is recognised by UGC and approved by AICTE and NCTE. In addition to this, Dibrugarh University Distance Education offers courses in PG programmes in Assamese, Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, and Bachelor's in Computer Application and Arts, among others.

 Furthermore, the University offers courses through various departments and faculties. Admission to various UG, PG, and PhD level courses is done by the Dibrugarh University in-house entrance exams such as DUPGET,  DURAT, B.Ed CET for MA, PhD, and B.Ed, respectively. For courses such as MBA and MTech, the university accepts valid scores of CAT/ MAT/ CMAT and GATE, respectively. Eligible candidates must register online by visiting the official website of the university and its affiliated colleges as per the opted courses. 

For 2026, the CMAT exam was held on Jan 25, 2026. CMAT is the accepted exam for admission to the MBA/PGDM courses at the participating colleges. 

The Dibrugarh University the highest package has not been released as of now. However, the median package for Pharmacy courses is out in the NIRF report 2024. Dibrugarh University offers courses in UG, PG and Doctoral levels in distance and full-time mode.
