- Flexible Credit System: The curriculum is based on a choice-based system that allow students to select interdisciplinary minor electives.
- For DIT University BDes eligibility, the candidates need to be Class 12 or equivalent pass from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate from a recognised Board/ University/ Council.

Step 1: Online Application
Aspirants need to apply online for the respective course Candidates need to pay an application fee to apply for admission.
Step 2: Selection Rounds
DIT University will shortlist candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. DIT also conducts DUET for shortlisting aspirants for MPharm, M.Tech and PhD courses. Candidates also have to undergo counselling for a few courses. However, for PhD who have a valid score GATE / SET / SLET will be selected based on PI. Additionally, candidates who do not have any of the scores mentioned above need to sit and appear for merit-based counselling on DUET followed by PI.
Step 3: Counselling, Document Verification & Final Admission
Candidates are called for the counselling round and document verification, post selections.
Attested copies of the following documents along with original transcripts. The original transcripts would be returned to the students after verification. Check the list of docs listed below:
- Class 10 & 12 mark sheets for Graduation course
- Downloaded copy of the DIT University Registration Form
- Valid Score card of NATA (If applied for BArch programme)
- Identity Proof issued by the Government (Preferably Aadhar Card).
- Class 10, 12 & Graduation Mark sheets for Post Graduate programmes
- High School Certificate (for Date of Birth)
- JEE (Mains) Score card (if applied for BTech programme)
- Domicile Certificate of Uttarakhand & Himalayan States. (Original in the prescribed format by State Government (Without valid Domicile Certificate candidate shall not be considered for Himalayan States category).

1: Online Form Submission

If I had to choose, I'd lean towards Thapar. A senior I know from Thapar's Chemical Engineering branch had a good experience with the faculty, labs, and placement opportunities. If you're considering Chemical Engineering, Thapar is definitely a strong option.
