DIT University MTech Courses & Fees 2026: Admission Dates & Eligibility

Yes, DIT University offers BSc courses at the undergraduate level. The courses are made available across different specialisations. Candidates can apply for these courses on the university official website. Before applying, students must check out the minimum eligibility and selection criteria.

Step 1: Online Application

The mode of application is online for all courses. Candidates need to pay an application fee to apply for admission.

Step 2: Selection Rounds

The university shortlists candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. DIT also conducts DUET for shortlisting aspirants for MPharm, M.Tech and PhD courses. The university conducts other selection rounds like GDPI or PI rounds for some of the specific courses. However, for PhD who have a valid score GATE / SET / SLET will be selected based on PI. Additionally, candidates who do not have any of the scores mentioned above need to sit and appear for merit-based counselling on DUET followed by PI.

Step 3: Counselling & Admission Confirmation

After the completion of the selection rounds, candidates are called for merit-based counselling and document verification. Selected candidates need to pay a course fee to confirm their admission.

The university may not offer direct admission as primarily the selection is merit-based. Thus, the aspirants Class 12 scores are considered. However, for the BSc Nursing course, students have to take the DITU Nursing Entrance Test. To enquire about admission under management quota, the students should reach out to the admission office.

The highest package offered at DIT Dehradun in 2024 stood at INR 58 LPA. Earlier, over 270 recruiters participated in the placement process 2023 at DIT University and presented over 1,270 job offers to the students of Class 2023. The highest package package offered during DIT University placements in 2023 was also INR 58 LPA.

As per the latest research on external sources, we have found that DIT Deradun alumni are placed in top national and multinational companies such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, EY, KPMG, etc. They work in various sectors such as Engineering, Operations, Business Development, Marketing, Sales and more. Of all the sectors, 37% of alumni work in the Engineering sector. Additionally, 15% and 12% of alumni work in the IT and Business Development sectors. DIT University has released the mean package for the year 2024. The overall mean package in 2024 was 5.76 LPA. Also, the mean package recorded during SOET, SOC, School of Management and School of Pharmacy was 4.2 LPA, 6.26 LPA, 4.5 LPA and 3.2 LPA. 

A total of 415 offers were made during DIT University placement 2024. It was 817 and 1251 in 2023 and 2022. The placement rate in 2024 was 64.18% whereas it was 89.01% and 95% in previous two years. The highest package offered in 2024 and 2023 was 44 LPA and 58 LPA.

A Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) is an undergraduate pharmacy degree course. It is one of the popular job-oriented courses among students after Class 12. The course revolves around the study of Pharmaceuticals and Medications, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Medicinal Chemistry, and other topics.

BPharmacy is necessary for registration as a chemist in many nations across the globe. Because both BPharma and PharmD are required for licensure in most countries, they are regarded as equal. Moreover, the course teaches students about drug manufacturing, dosage formulation, chemical nature analysis, and preclinical testing of new pharmaceuticals. Aside from the technical aspects of Pharmacy, BPharmacy discusses pharmaceutical product marketing and the patenting of novel pharmaceuticals. 

Aspirants must fulfil the eligibility requirements for admission to a BSc course at DIT University. As per the official website, the common eligibility criteria are Class 12 or equivalent pass in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics (As per chosen specialisation) as mandatory subjects with at least 50% aggregate. In addition, students should have passed in English as well. The qualifying exam should have been passed from a recognised board.

Apart from the tuition fee, BSc students at DIT University are required to pay a one-time fee of INR 15,000 (covering registration, library deposit, etc.) and a hostel fee ranging from INR 1.13 Lacs to INR 3.9 Lacs per year, depending on room type and facilities. Additional recurring charges may include examination fees, training and placement fees, and other campus services.

DIT University has not released a concise placements report for the BSc placed students. However, as per the verified Shiksha reviews, the highest package ranges between INR 4 lakh to INR 5 lakh. This placement package can vary. Moreover, many top companies participate in the DITU placements drive. Some of the prominent recuiters are Cognizant, Deloitte, TCS, Bosch, etc.
