DIT University BTech Highlights 2026
DIT University BTech course is a UG-level engineering course which is offered for a duration of four years. It is the flagship course of this university. The university offers this course with NAAC 'A' grade accreditation and strong industry ties for career support. Some of the major highlights of BTech admission at the Dehradun Institute of Technology.

DIT University BTech application process 2026 is conducted online. Candidates will be selected during the counselling rounds for DIT University BTech course admissions. However, there is another route of admission as well. Counselling for both JEE Main and direct admission candidates is done at the same time during DIT University admissions. 1: DIT University BTech Application Process 2026
The application process is digitalised and carried out through a centralised admission portal. Aspirants have to pay an application fee of INR 1,250 for form submission. To fill out the application form, follow the steps below:
- Go to the website (https://www.dituniversity.edu.in/).
- Click on the 'Admission' tab.
- Register on the admission portal and log in.
- Choose the BTech course and log in.
- Provide copies of requested documents.
- Pay DIT University BTech application fees.

2: Selection

DIT University BTech Scholarships 2026
DIT University BTech scholarships provide a concession in the tuition fee to meritous candidates. These scholarships are offered on both merit-basis and need-basis. 26% scholarship on tuition fee shall be granted to permanent residents of Uttarakhand/ Other Himalayan States for whom 40% of seats are reserved in all UG courses.
Merit Scholarship shall be awarded to BTech students based on the percentage of marks obtained in identified subjects at the time of admission and applies to the tuition fee of the respective year of study. The student's score in the entrance exams are also taken into account when deciding the amount of DIT University scholarships.
The DIT University scholarships cannot exceed more than 100% of the candidate's tuition fees. Every student is only allowed to avail the benefits of only one scholarship scheme. To apply for these scholarships, candidates need to go to the website of DIT University.

If I had to choose, I'd lean towards Thapar. A senior I know from Thapar's Chemical Engineering branch had a good experience with the faculty, labs, and placement opportunities. If you're considering Chemical Engineering, Thapar is definitely a strong option.
