Goa University, founded in 1984,   provides higher education in the state of Goa.  It is accredited with 'A+' Grade by NAAC and approved by UGC. Goa University has over 10 schools of study. It offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, Certificate, and PhD courses to students. These courses are offered across Science, Management, Commerce, etc. streams.

Candidates need to apply online on the official website of Goa University for UG and PG programmes. The university shortlists candidates for PG programmes based on GU-ART conducted by the university. For MBA admission, the university accepts CMAT/ ATMA scores. For UG courses, the selection is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates might need to come for personal interview round for some of the courses. The university releases its merit lists of the selected candidates for various courses. Shortlisted aspirants need to pay the programme fee to confirm their seat in the university.

Further, the median package offered to PG 2-year and PG 3-year students during Goa University placements 2022 was INR 2.34 and INR 1.20 LPA, respectively. The top recruiters of Goa University during the past years included Syngenta Biosciences, Deccan Fine Chemicals, Godrej,  Wipro, HCL,  etc..

Goa University has record of providing placement assistance and job opportunities to its candidates. According to the NIRF report 2025, 60 MBA students were placed from the total 233 graduated batch 2024 with a median package of INR 3.09 LPA. In UG 3-year program,  4 students of the batch 2024 were placed with a median salary of INR 6.10 LPA.
