The NEET UG Counselling 2025 special stray vacancy round seat allotment result has been published for admission to MBBS/BDS/BSc (Nursing) courses. By Dec 31, 2025, allotted candidates of this round must report to their allotted institutes.

The GPAT 2026 application form for admission to the MPharma course is expected to be released during the first week of April 2026.

Established in 2007, Gujarat Technological University (International Innovative University), also known as GTU, is a public state university that affiliates numerous Engineering, Pharmacy, and Management colleges in Gujarat. The state government heads the university. Engineering institutes such as Lalbhai Dalpatbhai College of Engineering, Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya, Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, and other government Engineering colleges are part of the GTU. GTU Ahmedabad Admission Process and Dates 2025

Gujarat Technological University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, PG diploma, integrated, and doctoral courses in various fields. Admission to these courses is based on either the scores of entrance exams specified by the University or the merit list prepared by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). There is the provision of a 10% relaxation in eligibility criteria for the reserved category in GTU.

For the MBA programme, a minimum of 50% aggregate in graduation is required, and candidates must also appear for the CMAT, CAT, ACPC, and XAT exams, followed by merit lists. The primary eligibility criteria required by the GTU Ahmedabad to get admission into MBA course is candidates must complete their graduation with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Moroever, for admission, the university accept valid score of CMAT, followed by Presentation cum Interview. This Interview is basically based on business plan/idea and personal characteristics such as

GTU offers admission through online mode. Students willing to get admission in any course at GTU should visit the official website of the institute. The university grants admission on the basis of merit & entrance both. Some national-level examinations are accepted by the university for admission to a few courses such as GATE, CMAT, JEE Main etc.

UG offers various courses including B.E, B.Tech, and B.Pharma. To be eligible, students need to complete 10+2 level with at least 50% marks from a recognised board and qualify JEE Main or GUJCET.

The PG domain requires a Bachelor's degree with minimum percentage and admission is based on entrance test marks, with merit-based admission for some courses.

For the Doctoral courses, the institute offers PhD, M.Phil, Pharm.D courses in multiple specialisations. For being eligible to pursue these courses candidates are required to complete their PG courses in the related field from a recognised university. The admission will be given only if the students have secured a valid score in NET/ GSET.

Apart from these courses, the institute has a great number of Certificate & Diploma courses to offer. The admission will be given on the basis of secured merit in the past qualifying examination.

Yes, you can take dierect admission in B.Tech at Gujrat Technological University. It depend on you wether you take admission with 12 th score or entrance exam. If you take admission with 12th score, you will be given admission by merit score. So yes, you can take dierect admission in B.Tech by 12th class score. Life at LD College of Engineering.

Placements: Almost 70 to 80 percent of students get placed at very good companies all over India. Top companies like TATA, Reliance, Adani, Atul, Amul, and L&T visit the campus for placement drives. Students also get internships at these top companies through the training and placement cell of LDCE.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is still developing as it is an almost 75-year-old college, so buildings are quite old, but construction is going on for newer ones. Sooner you'll get a new building for students, and all will be equipped with all the facilities for students in the upcoming year.

Faculty: Faculty are really very helpful in teaching and projects, but they are very strict when it comes to submission and viva. The course is based on GYU, and it gets updated every 5 to 6 years according to industry demand and requirements. Students become industry-ready, especially in core branches.

Overall, everything is good here.

Placements: Around 64% students got placed in campus placements, the remaining do businesses, startups and some of them were not eligible for campus placements due to low scores. And after all, it also depends on one's technical skills, if we are unable to deliver the required performance, then it's tough to get selected in campus placements.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, but there are 3 colleges in SAL regarding engineering, Saliter, SCE, SETI, in which Saliter & SETI have their own building, but SCE is combined into SALITER and only in 2-4 classes have AC, while the other just have fans. Labs are good, they have AC, but there is only 1 library in between the whole 3 colleges, and college Wi-Fi is limited to labs only.

Faculty: As it's GTU-affiliated, there is no doubt that it's bad. But the thing is, their curriculum is more theoretical rather than practical. Mainly, it depends on the faculty members and what they are teaching. In some cases, there are faculty members who focus on practical.

Other: College fests are held on a very good platform, many types of events are held, and industrial trips are also organised.

Placements: In my course, around 85 percent of students were placed. The highest package is 18 LPA, the lowest 3.6 LPA, and the average 6.5 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Deloitte. About 70 percent secured internships in similar firms, mainly in development and analyst roles.

Infrastructure: The department offers Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, and a good library. Hostel facilities are decent with clean rooms, average mess food, a good canteen, basic medical support, and ample sports areas for games and fitness.

Faculty: The faculty is helpful, qualified, and supportive. Teaching quality is good, and the curriculum is relevant to industry needs. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, and most students pass comfortably with a high pass percentage.

Other: I think it's best for those who don't want to study.

Value for money, college and placement.

Placements: There are approximately 70-80% placements in our college LDRP over the last 10 years. The highest package is 12 to 15 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average package is 7-8 LPA. The top recruitment companies are Infosys, TCS, HCL and many other well-known companies. Also, this company offers an internship based on the skills and the CGPA of the students. Around 50-60 % students got the opportunity. DSA specialists, data science, debugging and many other general roles are offered.

Infrastructure: Our LDRP college has many classrooms, a well-placed library with a huge space and many sources. College has its own Wi-Fi in all the college campus, which is not excellent but also not bad. And each and every subject has its own labs for practical and machine learning. In our college hostel, there are also a huge number of decent quality rooms, and the food is good and healthy. They also have medical facilities for the faculty and students.

Faculty: All the professors are so helpful and supportive for both academic and extracurricular activities. They all have very good knowledge and qualifications for their subject. They make the students be practical and industry-ready. The difficulty of the semester exam in this college is based on each subject and its importance. The pass ratio is more than 70 % for the first exam.

Placements: Our college provides a good range of placements. The highest package is 9 LPA, the lowest package is 1.8 LPA, and the average package is 3.5 LPA. Around 80% of students get internships in fields like web development, app development, and Python/Java programming. Companies like Tata and BYJU'S visit for placements.

Infrastructure: Our college has Wi-Fi, a canteen, and many other facilities. Every subject has personal laboratories, and all classrooms and labs are neat and clean. The canteen food quality is also good. The college has a cricket ground, volleyball ground, and football ground, and kabaddi and kho-kho grounds are also available.

Good infrastructure and great teachers are available.

Placements: 90 per cent of students get placed in the college, the numbers can be fewer or more, it depends. The highest package is around 10 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top companies like Tatvasoft, Argusoft, and Simform recruit. There are various roles that can be offered depending on your own skills.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi are in all the departments. In the library, there is Wi-Fi. In the hostel, there is a LAN that can be connected to through a laptop. Classrooms are good with great infrastructure. The quality of food in the hostel is not so good. I won't recommend eating from there. Sports are great.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, too. Teaching quality is great for the theory part. There is some difficulty in practical knowledge. It doesn't make them industry-ready fully, but it makes them partially. Semester exams are of a moderate level, they can be easy or hard.

Other: Nightlife is best. Practical knowledge should be improved. Events are great, fest too. The campus crowd is great. Scholarships are other.

GTU Ahmedabad Infrastructure

GTU Ahmedabad has a state-of-the-art infrastructure with multiple facilities available in the university. There are various clubs available in the university, such as the Robotics Club. The university plans to train students in this area so that the students can represent GTU in several Robotics competitions (ROBOCON, ROBOTEX INDIA, TECHFEST, etc.) and Automation competitions. The university even has a Design Innovation Centre. This is a project funded by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Q: How is the mess food at Gujarat Technological University?

Mess food at GTU is quite average and there is pinch of sugary taste in the dal and vegetables because of the common taste of gujrati cooks made food. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the morning breakfast, they serve bread-butter, bread-jam, tea-biscuit, vadapav, samosa, srikhand, pyaaz kachori etc. In the evening lunch and dinner, menu remains almost same, roti, chawal, dal, 2 vegetable - one aalo or moong and other one is kadi, bhindi, parwal, brinjal.

Q: How can international students apply at Gujarat Technological University?

There is a Foreign Students Cell that facilitates the admission of foreign students at GTU. They should apply with application form available on GTU website alongwith copy of necessary educational and other documents. The application form fee of Rs. 500 is non-refundable. The admission department checks the eligibility and if found eligible, the respective students are given the provisional admission letter. On this basis, they must contact Indian Embassy/High Commission for student visa/ research visa for admission into GTU. Affter getting visa, they must report to the GTU campus with all original official transcripts, degrees, documents relating to educational background and medical fitness certificate.
