Gujarat University, is a public-state university established in 1949, is one of the oldest and the largest universities in India. The university offer undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), diploma, certificate and PhD courses to students in streams such as Arts, Commerce, Science, Education, Law and Medicine & Health Sciences. Admission is based on merit and entrance exams. The university accepts national entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, and others. Aspiring candidates must qualify the eligibility criteria set by the university for the desired course.

Yes, admissions at Gujarat University are based on both merit as well as entrance. The university accepts admission based on the marks in Class 12 board exams, followed by the GCAS Counselling process. Additionally, admission to courses, such as BHMS, MBBS, MBA, etc., national and/or state-level entrance exam is required for admission.For  more details, please visit the University's official website. 

The university offers over 700 courses at UG, PG, PhD, certificate and Diploma levels. Additionally, nearly 709 courses are offered in a full-time mode and six courses in part-time (Classroom) mode. CMAT 2025 was on January 25, 2025, almost four months ahead of previous years. The CMAT exam is usually held in March-April, but in 2023 and 2024, it was held in May. The last time CMAT was held in January was in 2019.

The NTA announced registration dates via an official circular, which was released online on the NTA website on November 14, 2024. The CMAT 2025 exam schedule includes registration window open and close dates and form correction dates. CMAT 2025 registration has started, and the last date to apply was December 13, 2024, and the admit card was released on January 20, 2025.
