College is very good and has a powerful alumni network.
Placements: As of 2025, 59 students were eligible out of which 56 got placed in my branch in mechanical engineering. Placement percentage is 107%. Top recruitment companies are Samsung Electronics and TCS which often pick students in bulk. Almost 70% of students got internships from the campus.
Infrastructure: As we know, the college is very old thus the infrastructure is also very old but it gives chills too. The hostel is in bad condition. The mess food is below average for the first-year students. Water quality is bad as of now. Wi-Fi is available, which gives 8 GB per student per day but it is very slow.
Faculty: Faculty as we know are mostly from good colleges, such as IIT and NIT. Some of them have taught in foreign universities also. They are all very qualified, and most are Ph.Ds. Now about curriculum, it is as per NEP but it still lacks practical aspects.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in mechanical field and campus events. The crowd is all good.

Average campus. Placements are excellent for technology & core branches, but average for CS and IT.
Placements: The placement for core and technology branches is excellent. No college of this rank can compete with it. This college is a savior for students with ranks below 60,000- 65,000. For CS/IT, the placement is average. If you are in the top 50%–60% of your class, you will get a minimum placement of 8–9 LPA, a maximum of 18 LPA or more, and the lowest around 3–6 LPA. Most students get jobs as the placement rate is above 90%.
Infrastructure: Currently, IT does not have its own department. First-year classes are held in the lecture hall complex. While second- and third-year classes are in the main building. Classroom infrastructure is average, with some air-conditioned rooms. Fourth-year classes are held in the Computer Science department, whose infrastructure is below average. A new extension for the CS department is being built, which will also accommodate IT students. Overall, the college infrastructure is average, similar to most state government universities.
Faculty: CSE and IT are the chillest courses in the college currently. Professors assign marks based on projects and give plenty of time for independent work. The curriculum is outdated. In the first year, students study irrelevant topics like paint and food technology. However, only the first year is difficult. Senior students say the other years are easy if you study regularly.
Other: This course is comparatively easier than others, but students must learn from other sources and cannot rely solely on the college. Teachers allow time for independent learning, which students should utilize. College events exist but are not very grand. Overall, they are above average. Fests such as the cultural fest Adhyay, the sports fest Agaz, and the technical fest are good and more than average.

The college is decent best.
Placements: The core jobs are not very high because, if you are someone wanting to work in the core field, that will be quite difficult, as the company pattern shows that they hire more students from M.Tech. But if you learn coding through the four years of B.Tech, then the chances for placements are quite high, as you would have the choice of going to the IT sector and other software jobs.
Infrastructure: HBTU has two campuses: East Campus and West Campus. The East Campus has two boys’ hostels for first-year students and a girls’ hostel for each year. The West Campus has hostels only for boys of 2nd, 3rd, and final year, Shatabdi Bhavan for cultural events, a cricket ground, a gymnasium, and other facilities. However, the condition of the hostel rooms is not of a very high standard. The hostels accommodate single, double, and three-seater rooms.
Faculty: The teachers and professors of each department are quite experienced and highly educated, but if you are thinking that the professors are going to teach you everything, that is not going to be the case. You have to take the initiative for learning new things. You need to ask the teachers to take extra classes and help with other things.
Other: The number of students in the Electronics Engineering batch for the year 2025–2029 is 69. The faculty is good and experienced and helps the students according to their problems, both academically and personally.

The underrated college with a great scope of improvement and decent placement.
Placements: The number of students getting placed is dicey as the placement season is still going on, but on average, out of 100, 75 students get placed. The highest package off-campus is 44 LPA, and the lowest is somewhat around 5 LPA, and the average is between 9 and 12 LPA. Companies come here for various roles, including marketing, SDE, and fact-related roles in the chem tech branch. And if we talk about internship, they are not that good but not that bad either, the top role for which the offer was made was SDE, to my knowledge.
Infrastructure: The classes are spacious and well-ventilated with ACs. The library is huge, with over 1 lakh books. HBTU also has multiple canteens across the campus, offering plenty of spots to explore and hang out, making the overall campus experience lively and enjoyable.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and have experience in teaching, though some teachers might not be that great, the faculty members are usually good. The curriculum is outdated, but still, amendments are being made to make the course industry-ready, and for the exams, it's usual that if you study, you'll be able to maintain a good gpa.
Other: The overall college is good. I joined this one because of its legacy of 105 years, and the placements are pretty decent too.

College is good in academics and also in extracurricular activities.
Placements: About 85 percent of students are placed every year. The highest package in my branch is 19 LPA, and the average package is about 8 LPA. Also, many companies came to the college. The highest package of college is 34 LPA on campus, so it is good and okay.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are so good, while the campus is fine, and libraries are so good. About 1 lakh books are available in the college, which is a good facility in the hostel, and the seniors are very supportive in the college, so the academics are going smoothly.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and involved in studies. They provide the best notes possible, so teachers are very nice. They are much more qualified, and the curriculum of the college is very good. Semester exams are easy if we learn small things, the pass percentage is about 50 percent.
Other: Fests are not so good, but we can adjust according to the college.

Good college like in placements, course, alumni network.
Placements: Placements of my course is excellent. Some of high paying recruiters are Asian Paint, Hero, Suzuki. The average package is around 8–9 LPA and placement is 100 percent. In my course, almost 50 percent students got their internships in 5th or 6th semester, which is on campus.
Infrastructure: The campus life is not that much good as compared to other colleges, and the location of the college is also a negative side. Hostel life is good until unless you are in East campus (where all the academic and administrative buildings are present). According to me, it’s better to take private hostel than choosing West campus hostel like Ambedkar and Aryabhatt in 1st year.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and helping except few. After every month there will be an exam, so you have to prepare according. Curriculum is good, almost same as that of AKTU in first year. Exams are not that difficult; anyone can score 8+ CGPA in first year.
Other: If you are getting this college, you can choose, but hostel of West campus is main problem because it is 7 km from East campus, and your life will be same as that of a day scholar.
