HBTU Kanpur’s Leather Technology has good placement with no competition.

Placements: This year, the placement percentage in Leather Technology is 70-80%. The highest package is 12 LPA in different sectors, and the lowest package is 3.6 LPA. Companies like Tata International, Kabir Leather, Jama Enterprises, Smith, and Zones recruit students. 100% of students get internships.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and the hostel is good, but students face Wi-Fi issues. Labs are very good, with everything needed. Classrooms are good and include AC. The library is also very good, with AC and plenty of books. The quality of food in the mess is good, but the canteen and medical facilities are not very good.

Faculty: HBTU has qualified and knowledgeable teachers with high qualifications. The teaching quality is good, and teachers understand students' problems. HBTU has two semesters in one year. The first semester is known as the odd semester, and the second is the even semester. Each semester includes two mid-semester exams. The passing percentage is 4 CGPA.

Good alumni network and average placement.

Placements: Minimum requirements is 65% to sit in any of company and the lowest package is 3.5 lacs and the top company is flipkart with 26 lacs. Top recruitments are from tcs, reliance, tata motors, ExxonMobil. The minimum percentage required for internship is 60 to 70%. Placement is good .

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good, classroom and library also not good. Wi-fi is not available to for students. In the library books are very old and the distance between hostel and academic classes is 5 km this is very bad. Medical facilities is not good. Sport is best.

Faculty: Faculty is good teaching experience and highly qualified. The best thing in this college is teachers, they teach very good in offline classes not online. In this college faculty goes to industry visit with students and have basic idea of course and how company to run.

Other: I choose leather technology because I do not want to drop after 12, so I take admission in this college.

Harcourt Butler: A nightmare

Placements: About 20% students got placement last year in B.Tech. The highest was offered from Microsoft about 43.5 lacs. Top recruiting companies were Mediatek, Asian paints, Oyo rooms, Jubilant Food works, Samsung, United Brewries, Global logic. Average package offered was 7.5 lacs, the lowest was 3.5 lacs. About 10% students only got internship in good companies such as Microsoft, Airtel, Vodafone etc. Others got internship from internshala and others like that.

Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi facility in our whole college whether it is hostel or library. Students get only 34 mb data per day for usage which is almost considered negligible. Laboratories are extremely old with no renovation or reconstruction. Old equipments are there because our course is also of very old pattern. Hostel is somewhat spacious but lacks hygiene and infrastructure. No proper ground is there. Food available in mess is of average quality and no much variety is there means that at a time one curry and one dal is made with no raita mostly. Canteen food is cheap but with low quality however variety is there but that lacks hygiene extremely. Medical facilities are almost negligible a doctor is appointed for that (only one) but she only give one or one and a half hour to college because she runs her private clinic so she always hurry. Sports and games equipment is completely not available, the one who is going to play has to bring on his own and only one ground is available so only one group can play at a time. By the college there is only one sports fest is held every year in which various games are available.

Faculty: Some teachers are helpful while majority is not. They are not knowledgeable at good level. They only know their course and nothing else. They lack creativity extremely. Poor grading system is applied in our college. Poor level course is there. Course doesn't imply the situations faced in real world. Students are taught the earlier methods, earlier problems that came to an end in this modern era.

Other: I chosen this course just because I didn't make good at entrance examination (JEE Main). I just want to take B.Tech degree then I will pursue Masters degree in computer Science from some good college. Level of course should be increased, it should be revised. There is no scholarship offered from college however UP government provides one. Campus is not connective extremely far places are there and everyone has to walk all the way. However greenery is there. Combine Fest is held every year of cultural and technical activities but that lacks participation of students. However events are usual almost every second week there is a event but negligible participants are there.

Other: College is good. Senior faculty is fantastic. All faculty members are good in leather technology. If you want to learn by your own you should be here. The hostel arrangements are poor. Campus is big. All branches are good in HBTI Kanpur. There are 8 semester in B.Tech. First two semester is same for all branches.

It is a better place to develop ourself.

Placements: Placements for our branch are good. Almost 60-70% of the students get placed every year. Rest of the students opt for further higher studies, and some of the students get selected for higher studies in foreign. Placements are offered in good companies. Even students get 2-3 placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not that good. Some of the buildings are very old and not maintained properly. New buildings are good. But the maintenance takes much time due to the late processing of tenders. Labs are very old and not have proper facilities.

Faculty: Guest faculty members of our college are not that good. But some of them are very good, and all the professors have a lot of knowledge. The course curriculum is easy, and it is very practical. Faculty members focus on providing practical knowledge more than theoretical knowledge. Students are also taken to industrial visit.

Other: Everything is good in our college.
