Dissatisfied with our college facilities, faculties, and placements.

Placements: My Psychology batch has only 22 students out of a total of 45 seats, but there are more vacant seats. Our fee structure is 2100 per year. The syllabus is very simple, and an internship is not necessary. The department does not provide placements, and the quality of study is comparatively very low.

Infrastructure: There is no psychology lab; we are only provided with questionnaires for lab work. The classroom facilities are poor, and there is no Wi-Fi. There is no departmental library, only a central library, but the textbooks in the library are outdated. The department only provides hostel accommodation for 2 students.

Faculty: Our department has only one faculty member, while other teachers are PhD scholars. Teaching is mainly conducted in Hindi. The exam fee is 850. The total marks are 100, with 40 marks for internals and 60 marks for externals. The syllabus and exams are very simple, but it is difficult to achieve a good score.

Other: I love psychology, and there are many opportunities in this field. However, the campus programs and extracurricular activities are not good.

BSM PG College is good for all bachelor’s and master’s courses.

Placements: College does not support placement. There is not a highest or lowest package. Companies do not need students from my course, and the number of internships from my course is zero. I am an economics student, and in my college, companies do not offer jobs because they do not need economics for teaching.

Infrastructure: Yes, there is Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, a library, and all courses like bachelor’s and master’s degrees; all facilities are good, but there is no hostel or canteen facility. Sports and games are also available in our college, and more facilities are available for all students, like the library.

Faculty: The teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable in all facilities, with very humble and nice behavior and good teaching quality. They provide all course-relevant information and knowledge to students for industry. The semester exams are medium level, not difficult, with a 70% passing rate.

Other: I chose this course because it is very knowledgeable for me. The course improves over time with updates. In college, every event, fest, crowd, scholarship, and activity is celebrated.

M.A. in Theatre - Batch of 2025

Theatre Department in HNBGU (Srinagar, Uttarakhand).

Placements: There are no provisions for scholarships or financial aid for students here. However, there is some arrangement for campus employment. The theatre department has a lot of responsibility in every show, and some financial help is also provided to the students. Placements are very few. If I talk about other departments like Mass Communication, they are still present, like Amar Ujala, Dainik Jagran, etc.

Infrastructure: Let's talk about the course fees. It is very low, around Rs 2600 per year. This is a central university, and the course fees here do not increase quickly, which is very good for students. There is better connectivity of Wi-Fi, classrooms, and library. The good thing is that the college campus is very big and clean. Greenery is well maintained in the college campus, and there are many fests in the college. The Horticulture and Agriculture Department works very well; various types of trees and plants can be seen here. (Srinagar) It is very hot in the area where this campus is located. The number of hostels is very few; not everyone gets a hostel here. About 90 percent of students have to live outside. There is a huge lack of transportation, and most importantly, the mess food is very bad.

Faculty: The reason behind taking this course was that the folks of Uttarakhand are taught very well here. I was already doing theatre, but after coming here, I got a very good knowledge of theatre literature. I have done many plays here, and the most important thing is that the folk dramas of Uttarakhand are performed very well here. I have seen that many colleges do not have their own auditorium, but the theatre department here has its own auditorium, which is a very good facility for the students. Two faculty members of our theatre department are Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardees.

Other: Many theatre festivals are organised here by the Theatre Department. And the most important annual event of this university, in which the theatre department wins every year. The theatre department has its own library, which has more than 3000 books, which is a very good thing for the students here. In our department, students can rehearse in the auditorium with lights and sounds, which is a very good thing. Almost all the games are available for students to play here, and most importantly, gym facilities are also available here.

Review of Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University [HNBGU].

Placements: In our college, almost 60% of students were placed. The salary packages were not offered.

Infrastructure: Our college had excellent infrastructure. There was a giant ground in the center where various activities could be conducted. There was a gigantic library with different books that could be borrowed.

Faculty: Our HOD was good. Teachers were helpful. Semester exams were easy.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to be a teacher or a professor. I enjoy teaching and educating others. Being a teacher made me more knowledgeable.

It is an average college with no placements and other facilities.

Placements: The placement scenario is not good in our college. No placements are offered in this college. If you take admission here, you will only get the degree. I don't have any expectations about placements. This college is not for the one who wants to get placed in some good company in future.

Infrastructure: The course is average. The teaching faculty are average. Most of the time, you have to be on your own. The infrastructure is like some government school buildings. However, you can enjoy nature here. The college is good for the one who enjoys the surroundings. Labs are only for science students. A library is available for all, but it has very few books. You have to rely on some other sources for books. Sports and cultural activities are conducted. You can participate if you wish.

Faculty: The faculty members are average. They just know how to complete the syllabus. The teaching quality is not good. Semester exams are quite easy, and you can pass easily if you prepare for 10 to 12 days. The course curriculum is basic and easy to pass. All you need to do is follow the syllabus.

Other: The college is average. If you are in search of a degree and not getting admission anywhere, you can get admission here just for the sake of a degree. Find a good college if you want to pursue your studies seriously. Events, fests and other activities are conducted from time to time. You can enjoy your college life here.

An honest review of Sri Guru Ram Rai Post Graduate College.

Placements: No one got placed. We will just get a degree. Poor quality education si provided, and the faculty members are very lazy and not punctual at all. Most of the time, they are late. If you are really up for academics, better opt for some other college, or you are definitely going to regret your decision later.

Infrastructure: The hostel is available, but the infrastructure is very poor. The campus is quite average, and it could have been better than this. The staff are rude as well, but it can be ignored. The facilities are okay, you can go with these, but be considerate about the study.

Faculty: I won't recommend this college to anyone. Better go for a private college. Our college has very poor infrastructure and management, why not opt for a private college with a good record in academics and which provides placements as well.

Review of Sri Guru Ram Rai Post Graduate College.

Placements: As this is a government college, there are less placements or no chances of placements in this college. If you want placements, you have to opt for off-campus placements or for pool campus placements, which are organised in different colleges. Internship opportunities are available for students. The companies which visit here for internships are good, which can be government or private companies.

Infrastructure: The building of our college is very nice, and our college is located nearby the city from where you can easily go anywhere. The campus is located in a green environment, which makes college life interesting for every student studying there. Our college has its own Wi-Fi, but the password is not shared with the students. Labs, classrooms and library are well maintained. I don't reside in a hostel. I'm a local student of Dehradun, so it takes hardly 30 minutes for me to reach the college from my home.

Faculty: The faculty members teaching here are very nice in nature, and even they are helpful to all the students of the college. Teachers are well qualified and well educated from reputed institutions. They help every student in every manner they can during college hours or off-campus. The course is relevant to the curriculum. It doesn't make students ready for the industries, and you have to prepare yourself to work in the industry.

Other: I had chosen this course because this course was relevant to my field. It also helps in various economics matters, concepts and principles and analysing market situations. The best thing about this course is that students can understand the market trend and identify the profitable sectors. I would not like to improve anything as all are good. Our college organises different types of events and activities on a weekly or monthly basis.

It is a nice place to live and study.

Placements: It is a very nice college to have good times during your graduation and post-graduation with all the important things and knowledge which is necessary for growth. Placements are very good here, and it is growing from the past two years. Moreover, the college is providing new opportunities for students.

Infrastructure: There are lots of buildings with all the facilities. There are good people. The college offers an eco-friendly atmosphere. There is a nice playground and also a huge auditorium that can easily help in lots of extracurricular activities. Classrooms are good. Facilities provided are also good, and the campus offers a fresh atmosphere.

Faculty: Professors in our college are good, and they are always ready to help. They teach a lot of things with experimental studies. Teachers and professors are a good source of knowledge. The course curriculum is well balanced and is in a proper flow that makes it easier to understand.

Other: Annual day is awesome, which includes lots of events. Sports events are also included in it.
