Candidates are required to submit important documents at the time of admission/form filling. These documents are required for verification purposes. The documents required at the time of PTU course admissions are:

1. Class 10 and 12 marksheet
2. Bachelor’s degree (for PG courses)
3. School leaving certificate/ transfer certificate/migration certificate
4. Two-colored photographs
5. Domicile/ Birth certificate
6. Caste validity certificate/ ‘H’ Proforma, etc.

This is something common in colleges because you have a lot of things you need to do, a lot of work except your college studies, like sports activities, NCC, NSS, events and all, and sometimes both collide so if something is important you are doing then you can email your HOD that this is the reason why you might not be able to give internal exams, and they will rearrange the internal exam for you. Also sometimes there are some extra exams happen for those students who were unavailable at the internal exam time. You just need to inform before the exam.

IKGPTU accepts admissions to programmes in either a direct way or through counseling. Students who are interested in pursuing any programme at the university must have to apply beforehand. Students can apply through the official website of the university and complete the application by paying the application fees, i.e. non-refundable. Candidates can apply to the programmes as soon as the applications start for the session.

IKGPTU, earlier known as Punjab Technical University was established under Act of the State Legislature in 1997. The university affiliates 120+ AICTE and 65 UGC-approved colleges. The university offers 25+ courses at its main campus. Candidates can go for the university as it offers a wide range of courses and practical knowledge to the students. It uses new techniques and methods to teach students in modern and innovative ways.
