Step 1: IMU Chennai BSc Application Process 2025
Candidates must visit the IMU official website to register online. The application and entrance test fee must be paid online, and candidates need to attach the payment receipt along with the application form.
Step 1.1: Go to IMU's official website and click on 'IMU CET.'
Step 1.2: The IMU CET registration page will open in a new window.
Step 1.3: Enter the candidate's name and parents' names as given in the Class 10 mark sheet.
Step 1.4: Fill in the personal details such as gender, nationality, age, etc.
Step 1.5: Enter the correspondence address and permanent address along with the PIN code.
Step 1.6: Fill in all the academic details, such as passing year, percentage, board name, etc.
Step 1.7: Select the preferred exam centre.
Step 1.8: Upload photo, signature, and other important documents.
Step 1.9: Pay the IMU Chennai BSc application fee, i.e., INR 1000 for general and INR 700 for SC/ST.
Step 2: Appear for IMUCET
The IMU CET examination is usually conducted in the month of May. The Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) is a national-level admission test. It is conducted in CBT mode annually for admission to BSc courses. Candidates are required to take the exam at a specified time and schedule.
Step 3: Release of Rank List
As per the scores candidates have achieved in the entrance exam, the campus/university releases the rank list/ merit list of shortlisted candidates. Further, applicants who have secured decent scores and ranks by the campus need to visit for the counselling process.
Step 4: Counselling Process
Candidates are required to go through a counselling process conducted by the campus/ university, which will be opened after the release of the IMU-CET rank list. Candidates must register themselves for counselling through the portal available on campus. This counselling process is usually conducted online. It is advised that the candidate should get his/her medical standards tested first before applying for counselling.
Step 5: Seat confirmation
Candidates must secure their seat by paying the requisite fee, following the seat allocation and confirmation process, and participating in certificate verification. Classes will commence thereafter.
