IUST and the academic life.
Placements: Placements in the university are very good. Students who have a CGPA above 7 get placed easily. The highest on-campus placement was 5 lpa given by the company Bharat Petroleum. Another off-campus placement was for a computer sciences student, which was 24 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very nice and well built. There are buildings with top facilities and the labs regarding each course are much more advanced. Rumi library is where all sorts of books and journals are available and hostels are also very nice, well maintained and very clean. The food is also very hygienic.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are graduates of IITs or other top colleges. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is inspired by the curriculum of IIT and is very accurate and comprehensive. The exams are moderate, and more than 80% of students pass.
Other: I chose this course because it was my personal interest and they have many advanced robotics labs in the university, which made my mind more inclined towards it. The time duration of the class should be more practical rather than theoretical. College hosts events and festivals once in every three months, which is very nice and sports event also occur. Scholarships are also available for SC/ST students.

Our college is good in everything but lacks placements.
Placements: One thing that IUST lacks is placements. Every college in Jammu and Kashmir lacks placements. Our college does not guarantee placements. However, when there are placement opportunities, which are not available very often, students get placed in companies like Bajaj, BSNL, Jio, MI.Com, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college has a beautiful infrastructure and every possible facility from sports to labs. Our college has high-speed internet, and the labs are equipped with the latest machines, computers, etc. Classrooms have modern equipment like smart boards and speakers. It also has good food.
Faculty: Teachers here are talented, helpful and well educated. They use a good technique of teaching. Semester exams are easy if you study, and the teachers are always available when you need them. The pass percentage in exams is 40% of marks. My course is relevant to the curriculum and also makes students industry-ready.
Other: I chose ECE because I love the technical field, and it fascinates me. Our college has a good environment, education, infrastructure and facilities but lacks in placements.

I am dissatisfied with placements, but facilities and infrastructure are average.
Placements: I did a bachelor's degree in electronics and communication engineering from this university. No one in our batch got placed in any of the companies. No company came to our campus for placements. Maybe 2 or 3 students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities available are of average quality. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, etc., are of average quality. Many times we went to the lab, but the equipment was not available or is not working. Hostel quality is good, but the food provided in the mess is not that good. Medical facilities and sports were good.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also good. They mainly focused on syllabus completion without thinking about our future. The course curriculum is good and somewhat makes students industry-ready. Semester exams difficulty is average, and most of the students get passed. The pass percentage is approximately 80-85%.

I am 100% satisfied with this college, and I suggest this college to everyone.
Placements: The higher places were given to my batch, and to my higher batch. Up to 90% of the students got placed on the campus. The salary offered to the students starts from 1 LPA. My batch was given the work of electronics and communication. About, 80% of the students got an internship at this college. The experience in this college is excellent.
Infrastructure: All the facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, well-modified classrooms, well-modified library, sports, etc., are available. All the things are excellently modified. The canteen is also available with the diet foods. The hostel rooms are also well-modified. I faced no difficulties in the college.
Faculty: The teachers are well-educated and well-qualified in the college. All the teaching methods used on the campus like smart boards. The course is useful. The teaching quality was excellent. The excellent faculty members were provided to everyone in the college. I suggest this college to all my friends, and most of my friends are studying in this college.
Other: The scholarships are also available in the college. There is no crowd on the campus.

Islamic University, the fastest growing university in Kashmir
Placements: There was no placement on the campus except some but now, companies started coming there as it is the fastest growing university in Kashmir. The university has started working with Intershala Udaan providing training for industries to get jobs in the highly reputed companies.
Infrastructure: In previous two years, about four new buildings were made. Before this, the students were allowed to take classes in sheds and wooden made rooms. Now, I think it has got the best infrastructure in J&K. Still, work is going on the new buildings. Some new departments like mechanical engineering, physics and chemistry departments do not have yet there own but the site has been proposed for that and hope that it will soon get that. Electrical and ECE departments are merged in one building with physics and chemistry offices there. The labs are advanced with a lot of space to work there.
Faculty: It has got highly professional and skilled faculty members having experience of years. In our department, some faculty members were from IIT and many were M.Tech-qualified with a high GATE score. But for lower semesters, mostly, the studying is handled by the new contractual ones. Every department has a majority of contractual lecturers. Overall, the faculty team is good and I give 7 /10 to them.

The college is good in terms of facilities and infrastructure.
Placements: IUST is giving many placement opportunities to its students. The companies like Udaan, SARC, etc., visit the campus for giving students a better future. I am the final year student in IUST, and I got hired by a company. Here, the students are getting many job opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was not good on the campus as I joined IUST, but within two years of time, IUST has taken the second place in case of infrastructure in Kashmir. Also, the introduction of higher education makes IUST more developed. The university is developing fastly in all aspects.
Faculty: As a B.Tech student of IUST, Awantipora I think the faculty members are the best here. IITians and GATE qualified faculty members are on the campus. Taking about industry exposure, we the students of IUST travel many times for industrial tours outside the valley. I think I am a lucky one to be a student at IUST.
Other: IUST is situated at a high location which is free from noise and pollution. The view of IUST is fascinating and attractive. River Jhelum can be seen from the college, which makes IUST more beautiful.

Really good university which helps students to compete with others
Placements: Campus placements are not good yet because this university was established in 2007 but other facilities are good. Students often crack gate examinations. Practical skills are taught . Not top recruiting but companies often visit and hire students. 100 percent students get internship offers
Infrastructure: Labs are good. You can access any lab and teachers are present there who will help you. Wifi is available in the campus. Library is beautifully designed which has a separate internet section and separate section for reading Hostel facilities are good. Sports and games are good with TT, BASKET BALL, FOOTBALL, VOLLEYBALL AND ATHLETICS
Faculty: Almost every teacher has done phd that too from reputed universities. They are very helpful. Yes it makes student industry ready. They teach you extra skills also. Arduino, Programming languages. Pass percentage depends on students efforts. 70 percent pass
Other: Actually ECE is blend of electronics and communication so thats why it's little bit hectic than others. But the best thing is we have the best labs and teachers. Maybe more practicals Events happen 15-16 times in a year. We have different clubs there. It is a beautiful campus

Absolutely satisfied with my college because of faculty, good placements in 2018.
Placements: About 70% of the students of my college were placed with big salaries. The highest salary offered were INR 40,000 and the lowest salary offered were 20000 and in between it was 30000. The top recruiting companies of my course were Hamid electronics companies etc. About 70% of students were offered internship.
Infrastructure: I must say my college has a better facility and better infrastructure availability. The Wi-Fi is available, labs are well-equipped. The classrooms are well maintained. There are a variety of books in library and each book is provided cheaply. The facilities in hostel is good, the food in mess is available with better quality. The dispensary is also available. Sports and games play an important role in my college.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are very helpful in providing education and knowledge. There are well qualified staff members who teach with all their passion. They are passionate about technology. Yes, this course is curriculum relevant. It makes the students industry ready.
Other: I chose this course, because I am genuinely interested in this course. I like electronic things and gadgets. Actually it is my aim to become a electronics and communication engineer. Events, fest, campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings are very good in tier own way.
