Q:   What is covered in Machine Design subject in B.Tech course?
A:

Dear candidate, the subject of Machine Design basically teaches you about the designing fundamentals of various types of machinery across industries. You get to learn about the different ways in which elements can be combined to form an equipment or machine system and get the work done in an effective manner.

Average in case of infrastructure. Poor in case of placements. Hostel life is good.
Placements: Although I was a topper and had good skills and knowledge, I didn't get any placement from there. Hardly any company visit there for placements. 3-4 students of our batch were placed in GreyB, Chandigarh. Rest of the batch tried for off-campus. I also went into TCS through off-campus.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is fine. I would rate it 3 out of 5. Cafeteria is not good and transportation facilities are not very good. Sports and games is good. Hostel rooms are 3 out of 5. The food there is not of good quality in hostel mess. Also, the food in cafeteria is also not good.
Faculty: Faculty and course curriculum is good. Faculty tries to solve your problems. Even you can personally approach them if you have any doubts or queries. Teachers have good knowledge of the subject they teach. Tutorial classes are there for numerical solving problems.

Satisfied because the faculty are supportive, and average student are capable of getting placed.
Placements: Placements are nice. Many companies visit the campus annually. Companies such as Wipro, Infosys, Swaraj Mazda etc. visited the campus in 2016. I got placed in Metro company at Delhi. The great thing about the placement was that I got placed in my hometown.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite nice, and the staff are employed to take care of the same and do their job well. The rooms are properly ventilated and well lit. Annually, many sports events are held such as badminton etc. The canteen provides delicious food. I usually eat at the canteen.
Faculty: The faculty are very nice and knowledgeable as well as well qualified. They follow ethical behaviour, provide maximum support to the students. Apart from the curriculum, they also impart the knowledge about the national level contests taking place. The college supports the biometric attendance to avoid maintaining the registers and make the information convenient and reliable. The curriculum is not up to the mark as nothing apart from the books is taught.

Other: I have done Electronics and Communication Engineering from IET Bhaddal. Faculty is really nice and college infrastructure is really good. Lab work is pretty good. Only few MNCs will come for recruitment and a lot of small fake companies come sometime. Teachers help you in lectures as well as in tutorials. This college is really nice to study at.

Other: It has very good campus. In study, it is excellent. Faculty is up to the mark. They should improve canteens and food corners. Campus infrastructure is really nice. Never experienced hostel life there. Don't know much about that. Campus is really cool but far from main road. College provides transportation services as well.

Other: It comes under Punjab Technical University. One would find better education in the more 'elite' colleges under the same university. The staff always seems to be shuffled and new faces are introduced every semester to the students. The placement record in terms of quality companies have declined drastically through the years. Most of the companies that take part in the placement drives are the so called companies which give trainings and hire the students from that process.

When it comes to customizing the syllabus for B Tech in IT, you can always find some scope in the elective subject choices that you choose based on your interests. Every college give you a plethora of elective options to choose from.
