Lovely Professional University conducts the National Entrance and Scholarship Test, also called LPU NEST to shortlist candidates for admission to its various UG and PG courses courses. The exam is conducted at various test test centres as well as remote-proctored mode which candidates can tak from their home or any place of their choice. The test acts as an Entrance as well as Scholarship Test for all aspirants interested in admission to LPU. The scholarship amount is determined by the marks and rank obtained by candidates in the exam.

For admission to BTech Programs at Lovely Professional University, candidates need to fulfil the following Eligibility Criteria;

Nationality: LPUNEST is open to candidates of all nationality

Qualifying Examination: Applicants must have passed/appearing in class 12 exam in the year of taking LPUNEST 

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have secured a minimum 60% marks in class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English) subjects 

Note: For B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT), B.Tech. (Food Technology), B.Tech. (Biomedical Engineering) Subjects considered are Physics, Chemistry, English & either Maths or Biology or Biotechnology; other conditions remain the same. For B.Tech. Chemical Engineering (CHE) and  B.Tech. (Petroleum Engineering) subjects considered are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English; other conditions remain the same.

LPUNEST Application Form 2026

LPU NEST 2026 registration is open for phase 5 test. The application form is available online as well as offline. The online forms can be filled from the institute website or the direct link given in this page whereas offline application forms has to be purchased from the University campus by paying the requisite fee. LPUNEST Exam Pattern 2026

As per LPUNEST 2026 exam pattern mentioned in the official portal of Lovely Professional University, the exam will have total 100 questions of 04 marks each to be solved in 150 minutes. There will be 25 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English. Candidates preparing for the exam must have knowledge about the basic details of the exam, such as the total questions, marking scheme, exam duration, question types, subjects, etc. Along with the pattern, syllabus is also important to prepare for the exam.

LPU NEST admit card is issued to the candidates after they complete the application and slot booking process. Slot booking for phase 5 exam started on July 3 and the last date is July 17, 2026. Candidates opting for exam centre based test should carry their admit card to the centre without fail. Without the LPUNEST 2026 admit card, no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall. Candidates should not change any detail printed on the admit card; otherwise, their candidature might be cancelled. LPU NEST admit card will include important details like the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, venue, etc.

LPUNEST Mock Test 2026

To help candidates prepare for LPU NEST exam, LPU offers mock tests on their official website. A mock test is a practice version of the actual LPU NEST exam. Mock tests will help candidates get an idea of the format and difficulty of the LPU NEST exam. LPU NEST Mock test will be available online and can be accessed on the LPU official website. Candidates must take the LPU NEST mock test to familiarise themselves with the format of the exam and to identify topics where they need to improve.

LPUNEST counselling 2026 is conducted online as well as offline. All candidates who qualify the exam will have to pay the fee in online mode or manually by visiting the university campus. The LPU NEST counselling procedure comprises various stages like downloading the scorecard, filling out the seat preference, seat allotment, fee deposition, completing the admission form, uploading required documents, document verification, balance fee deposition.

Scholarships based on LPU NEST performance

Taking the LPU NEST 2026 exam helps candidates to earn scholarships. The overall course fee will be reduced depending on the score of the candidates in the entrance test. LPU generally divides the candidates into four categories to give scholarships. The LPU NEST scholarship is for the whole duration of the course. 

Category A: Candidates who get the highest LPU NEST marks are considered category A students. They get a fee waiver of 60 %. 

Category B: Candidates who score above average. They get 50 % fee waiver.

Category C & D: Candidates who score mid to average scores. Category C students get a fee waiver of 40 %, and Category D students get a waiver of 30 %.

Also, LPU offers a variety of scholarships to support all deserving candidates. Candidate can get a scholarship based on their performance in LPUNEST or based on other scholarship schemes offered by the university, such as based on score in qualification previous to eligibility qualification, performance in sports, cultural, R&D, co-curricular, social service, bravery awards or performance in national level tests like JEE Main, NEET, UCEED, CAT, MAT, GATE, GPAT etc.
