CEED 2027 Application Dates
Registration: Oct ' 26 - Nov ' 26
CEED Application will open from October 01, 2027, to November 05, 2027 with regular fees. Candidates will also be given a chance to fill CEED Registration form with late fees from November 06, 2027 to November 10, 2027.
Registration forms for CEED will be available on the website of CEED and can be filled by adding details like name, email ID, and phone number. On registration, an applicant account is created. Next, you have to fill the rest of the form, including personal, academic and contact details. After uploading the documents, you will have to pay CEED 2027 application fees and submit the form.

The difficulty level of CEED exam has been maintained by authorities over the years. However, most design aspirants share that if difficulty level of all design entrance exams conducted for PG level courses is compared then CEED is slightly easier than NID Entrance Exam. This is primarily because the drawing questions asked in NID that are considered to be tougher than those put forth in CEED exam. Note that CEED exam is for admission to the M.Des courses offered by the eight participating colleges. Meanwhile, the NID that for the M.Des programme has three participating colleges.
To appear in the CEED 2027 exam, the candidate must have passed a degree, Diploma, or postgraduate degree exam of a minimum three years. There is no upper age limit or limit on the number of attempts for appearing in CEED.
CEED 2027 Exam Dates
The Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) 2027 is a national-level design entrance examination conducted by IIT Bombay for M.Des and PhD programmes. CEED offers admission in IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur.
CEED 2027 entrance exam will be conducted on January 17, 2027. The exam will be conducted from 9 AM to 12 PM at the designated centres. The reporting time is 7 AM. The CEED question paper has two parts - Part A will be conducted for the first hour, and Part B will be conducted for the next two hours.

CEED 2027 applications will open from October 1, 2027. The application had to be filled online at CEED portal. The candidate can apply with both regular and late fees.
IIT Bombay will issue CEED 2027 admit card on January 02, 2027 at 1 pm. It will be issued to all candidates who have applied for CEED exam. Candidates can download it online.
CEED 2027 Admit Card Date
Eligible candidates who complete the application process are issued admit cards by IIT Bombay. CEED Admit Card for 2027 will be tentatively issued on January 02, 2027 for all candidates. CEED admit card can be downloaded online by providing one's registered email ID and password. All the candidates must carry CEED Hall ticket to write the CEED Entrance Exam.
In case of any error in the admit card, candidates must get it rectified as soon as possible.

Yes, candidates from engineering, architecture, arts, science, or commerce backgrounds can apply. Candidates must have completed a graduate degree/diploma/postgraduate degree program of a minimum of THREE years (after 10+2 level).
Result of CEED is prepared by giving weightage to CEED Part A and Part B. Part A will carry 25% marks. Part B will carry 75% marks. Final score is calculated using a formula.
CEED Final Score = 0.25 x Marks obtained in Part A + 0.75 x Marks obtained in Part B.
CEED 2027 registration form must be submitted online only through the official website. The registration fee is given below.
- 2000 for all women candidates
- 2000 for (SC/ST/PwD) candidates
- 4000 for all other candidates
This registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
CEED 2027 Answer Key Dates
IIT Bombay will release both CEED Draft Answer Key and Final Answer Key for the Entrance Exam. It will be released on the CEED website. No credentials are required to download the CEED Answer Key. The draft key will be released in the third week of January 2027. The key will be released only for Part A. No keys will be released for the subject-based Part B. The final key for CEED will be released on January 28, 2027, at 5 PM.

CEED 2027 Result Date
IIT Bombay is expected to declare the CEED 2027 Result on March 04, 2027. The result will include the Part A marks for all candidates who appeared for the exam. Part B marks will be released only for candidates who meet the Part A CEED 2027 cut-off. Cut-off marks for CEED Part-A will be tentatively announced on February 05, 2027 at 5 PM.
The CEED 2027 Score Cards will be made available from March 10, 2027, on the Candidate portal. It will be valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the result.

The cut-off marks for CEED 2026 is 39.35 and 16.89. Mean and standard deviation for Part-A (CEED 2026) are 39.35 and 16.89, respectively.
No, you cannot use your CEED 2025 scorecard to get admission to 2026 academic year. The scorecard is valid for one year from the date of issue.
The scorecard of CEED will be issued to all candidates who appear in the CEED exam. So, even if you have failed to qualify Part A, you can download the scorecard.
But note that in this case, the scorecard will only include qualifying status and Part A marks. Part B marks, Total marks and merit ranks will only be issued to qualified candidates. Candidates who have been assigned a merit rank can participate in the counseling process conducted by participating institutes.
CEED 2027 Counselling Date
IIT Bombay does not conduct any counselling for M.Des and Ph.D programmes offered by IIT. Candidates need to apply individually to all the institutes based on their scores and fill the Admission form of the IITs and other result-sharing and participating institutes. After applying, they need to complete the formalities or tests, which will be conducted by the institutes.
Candidates need to directly contact the institutes to understand the admission process of M.Des and Ph.D.

The counseling process for CEED 2027 will be started by individual institutes. Candidates who have been shortlisted and allocated a merit rank can participate in the counseling.
The CEED score is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the result. This means you can use CEED scores for admission in the current academic session only. You can't use for admission in the next year.
Likewise, you can't use CEED 2026 scores for admission in the upcoming session.
The result-sharing institutes of CEED will allocate some of their M.Des seats for CEED qualified candidates. However, these institutes may also use scores of other entrance exam for admission purposes.
So, if you have qualified CEED, you can apply to these institutes. Note that there will be no joint counseling for the result-sharing institutes. So, you need to apply directly to the institute you are seeking admission to.

IIT Bombay will launch the exam portal for CEED 2027 on October 1, 2026.

- The admission portal includes segments like important dates, examination information, program, download, and contact information.
The qualifying cut-off is the minimum marks a candidate needs to score in the paper to get shortlisted. Part B answer booklets will only be evaluated if the candidate gets shortlisted.
So, if you don't meet Part A cut-off marks, you will not get shortlisted and you Part B answer booklets will not be evaluated. Also, note that only shortlisted candidates will be assigned a merit rank in CEED.

The CEED syllabus is vast. If you are not able to complete a chapter or topic, it is better to leave it and start another topic. Once you are done with the easier topics, you can come back and study the difficult ones.
Candidates must report any issue faced by them while filling the CEED application form by clicking on the 'Report Problem' tab that is present on the right side of the application process windows. The tab is highlight in yellow colour. On clicking this tab, candidates had to elaborate on the problem that they are experiencing and also mention their registration number.
It was recommended that candidates fill out the form as soon as possible and don't wait for the last few days. It is because students could face server or other such issues which could delay or hinder the application process.
