LPU Admissions 2025 Update: Important Information

Lovely Professional University National Eligibility and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) is conducted by Lovely Professional University (LPU) every year. It is a university level examination that held in different phases in a year for admission of candidates to various courses available at the university. Some of the major courses offered by Lovely Professional University include Engineering, Law, Agriculture, Design, Hotel Management and MBA.

The university conducts LPUNEST online for each of these courses separately. This test will have twofold advantage as it will act as the Entrance Test as well as the Scholarship Test. The application form of LPUNEST 2024 releases in online mode. After applying for the exam, candidates are required to book slots as only after that admit cards will be issued by the conducting body. The conducting body will send the link to download the LPUNEST 2024 admit card to candidates’ registered email ID.

Candidates will only be allowed to participate in the LPUNEST 2024 counselling process only on scoring marks equal to or more than the cutoff marks candidates will be admitted to specific courses on the basis of their ranks, course preference and availability of seats.

For admission to BTech Programmes at Lovely Professional University, candidates need to fulfil the following Eligibility Criteria.

Nationality

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for LPUNEST (BTech)

Qualifying Examination

Applicants appearing for LPUNEST (BTech) should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2025, in the final examination of 10+2 from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. The board must be recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body.

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination:

• Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for LPUNEST (UG Design)
• Applicants appearing for LPUNEST (UG Design) should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2025, in the final examination of 10+2 from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.

• For admission in B.Design and B.Sc. (Design), applicants should Pass with 60%* aggregate marks in 10+2 (With English) or equivalent.

  *5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrant

What to Carry on Exam Day?

Though the LPUNEST exam is held online, candidates are advised to carry a pencil and a sheet of paper for rough work. Besides knowing the things that should be carried inside the exam hall, it is also important to know what must not be carried to the test centre. Candidates are not allowed to carry any text material, log table, calculator, electronic watches mobile phones etc. to the exam centre. 

Documents Required for LPUNEST exam

1.     A printout of LPUNEST admit card 
2.     The original, as well as a scanned copy of the identity proof
3.     A scanned copy of the LPU NEST application form

Note: The test centres for LPU NEST are operational on all the days except Public Holidays and weekly-offs. However, in a few above mentioned cities, the test centre are operational on specific days of the month only.
